Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bulgarian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international guard Noelle Quinn (183-85, college: UCLA, currently plays in France). She led Mondeville to a victory against the closely-ranked Toulouse (7-8) 72-59 in the French LFB in Saturday night's game. Quinn scored 12 points in 33 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Mondeville this season. Her team is placed seventh in the LFB. It was her team's first victory after five consecutive loses. Quinn is a naturalized American. She played for the Bulgarian senior national team four years ago. Strangely Quinn has never played in Bulgaria.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international forward Gergana Simeonov (186-79, currently plays in Italy). She contributed to Parma's victory against the eighth-ranked Orvieto (3-7) 65-53 in the Italian A1 last Sunday. Simeonov scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Lavezzini Parma (8-2) is placed second in the A1. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. This season Simeonov averages: 8.1ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 48.0%, 3FGP: 25.4% and FT: 69.0%. She played for the Bulgarian national team in 2009.

   #3. The Bulgarian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Anna Rimpova (183-82, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian A2 (12th division). Rimpova could not help Marghera (9-5) in their last game. Despite her very good performance the fifth-placed Marghera lost 47-54 at home to the lower-ranked (#6) Udine in the North group. Rimpova was the top scorer with 18 points. She also added 6 rebounds in 34 minutes. This year Rimpova's overall stats are: 9.9ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 48.1%, 3FGP: 42.9% and FT: 82.1% in the 14 games she played so far. She played for the Bulgarian national team six years ago.

   #4. Forward Roksana Yordanova (184-84, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a San Salvatore's victory against the 12th-ranked Cremona (3-11) 73-67 in the Italian A2 (12th division) last Saturday. Yordanova had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. She also added 4 assists in 40 minutes. Basket San Salvatore (7-7) is placed seventh in North group. It's Yordanova's first season with the team. Yordanova has relatively good stats this year: 13.9ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.4apg and 1.1spg in the 14 games. She used to play for the Bulgarian national team back in 2011.

   #5. International center Stefka Miteva (190-89, currently plays in Belgium) was not able to help Blue Cats (2-11) in their game against Point Chaud (8-5) in the Belgian Division I. She recorded 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 20 minutes. Blue Cats was crushed 82-57 on their home court in Ieper by the higher-ranked (#5) Point Chaud. It was Blue Cats' third consecutive loss in a row. Miteva is ranked sixth on the list of the best rebounders in the league and also on the list of best blockers (third place). This year her total stats are: 8.0ppg, 7.6rpg and 1.1bpg in the 13 games. Miteva plays currently for the Bulgarian national team.

   #6. Guard Ekaterina Dimitrova (182-87, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Charleville-Mezieres (6-9) in their game against Bourges (10-4) in the French LFB. She scored only 4 points. Charleville-Mezieres was crushed 60-36 on the road by the second-ranked Bourges. Dimitrova has averaged so far 5.7ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.7spg. She is a former international player as she played for the Bulgarian senior team two years ago.

   #7. International center Aleksandra Delcheva (202-87, agency: Promotex, currently plays in Czech Republic) couldn't help DSK Karlin (3-14) in their game against USK Praha (9-12) in the Czech Republic ZBL. Delcheva cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. She scored only 2 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 22 minutes. DSK Karlin was crushed 101-62 on their home court in Karlin by the higher-ranked (#8) USK Praha. It was DSK Karlin's third consecutive loss in a row. Delcheva has averaged so far 3.2ppg and 3.6rpg in the 17 games. She is also Bulgarian national team player.


The list of other players, who all have Bulgarian passport but never been selected to any of Bulgarian national teams:

   #1. Viktoria Mircheva (190-C-87, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB could not help Nantes Reze (8-7) to beat Villeneuve D'Ascq (5-10). Mircheva scored 8 points. Nantes Reze was edged 56-55 on the road by the lower-ranked Villeneuve D'Ascq (#12). Mircheva's total stats this season are: 8.3ppg and 3.5rpg. She has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Bulgarian.

   #2. Dimana Georgieva (190-C-88, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked C.U.S. Chieti (3-7) 82-67 in the Italian A1 on Sunday night. Georgieva scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Trogylos Priolo (3-7) is placed sixth in the A1. Georgieva's total stats this season are: 3.0ppg and 2.6rpg.

   #3. Dayana Gechkova (173-G, currently plays in Canada) contributed to a Ryerson College's victory against the Queen's (4-6) 70-64 in the Canadian university league CIS in Sunday night's game. Gechkova scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The Ryerson College has a very good 9-0 record this season. So far her team won all nine games in the Regular Season. Gechkova is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her fourth year in Ryerson College's roster. She has averaged so far 7.4ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.4apg.

Montana 2003 - Haskovo 2012 69-74 Haskovo 2012 overcame Montana 2003 on the road to level the championship series at 2-2. The decisive fifth game is schedule for Sunday. Montana 2003 was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 20-11 charge of Haskovo 2012, which allowed them to win the game. Cherno More Odessos (U 19) won U19 title in Bulgaria. The team demolished Levski 73-45 in the Final game. Cherno More Odessos (U 19) posted an early 24-11 surge in the opening period and then added 20-10 run in the second frame. Moreover Cherno More won both quarters in the second half for the final success. Yanina Todorova (173-F-99) top-scred for the winners with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Montana 2003 - Haskovo 2012 78-76 Montana 2003 held off Haskovo 2012 to take 2-1 lead in the championship series. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Dimana Makarieva-Georgieva (188-88) who scored 20 points.
