Levski Sofia (NBL) landed 31-year old former Bulgarian international center Vera Perostiyska (195-82, college: FIU). She already started the season at Union Hainaut in French LFB league. In 12 games this season she averaged 8.2ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3bpg. Perostiyska also played 8 games in Eurocup where she had 11.8ppg, 7.8rpg and 1.5apg. The most of last season she spent at Athinaikos in Greek A1. In 16 games last year she had 9.6ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1bpg. She helped them to win the league title and the cup. It was a very successful season in her career as she was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Honorable Mention and All-Bosmans Team. Perostiyska also played at Beroe earlier that season. In 8 NBL games she had very impressive stats: 22.9ppg, 12.9rpg, 2.5apg and 1.3bpg.
The previous (10-11) season she played at Energa Torun in Polish PLKK. In 27 games that year she had 9.3ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.4apg and 1.3bpg. She contributed to her team making it to the cup final. Perostiyska also played 7 games in Eurocup where she had 7.3ppg and 4.3rpg.
Among other achievements she received Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Player of the Year award and Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2009 and 2010. Perostiyska also represented Bulgaria at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 last year. Her stats at that event were 8 games: 12.4ppg, 7.9rpg, 1.1apg, FGP: 50.6%, FT: 73.9%.
Perostiyska has played also professionally in Slovakia (Dannax Sport), Turkey (Ceyhan Bld, Cankaya and Samsun) and Bulgaria (Neftochimic and Montana 2003).
She attended Florida International University until 2001 and it will be her twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.

Haskovo 2012 (NBL) confirmed in their roster 26-year old international shooting guard Violina Kocheva (175-91). She was a team leader there last season. In 24 NBL games she recorded very impressive stats: 17.2ppg, 3.7rpg and 6.2apg. Kocheva helped them to win the League title (twice) and the cup (also twice). BC Pharmaserv Marburg (DBBL) re-signed 29-year old Bulgarian international power forward Diana Voynova (192-88, college: Duquesne). She played there last season. In 28 DBBL games she recorded 11.2ppg and 6.9rpg. Voynova helped them to make it to the semifinals.
