Ukrainian guard Olga Dubrovina (170-G-87, agency: LBM Management) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Neftochimic, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17. The 25-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, six rebounds and seven assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat Dunav 8806 (#2, 11-3) 91-76. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Neftochimic to consolidate first place in the Bulgarian NBL. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Neftochimic keeps perfect 15 -0 record. In the team's last game Dubrovina had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Neftochimic and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Olga Dubrovina has solid league stats. She is league's best passer with 5.6apg. Dubrovina is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.3spg and 51.3% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was another Neftochimic's star - 24-year old American Tahnee Robinson (175-G-88, agency: LBM Management). Robinson had a very good evening with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course together with Dubrovina she helped Neftochimic with another comfortable win 91-76 over slightly lower-ranked Dunav 8806 (#2, 11-3) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Neftochimic consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. She plays for the best team in the league and Neftochimic managed to win all 15 games keeping perfect record. Robinson is a newcomer at Neftochimic, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.1ppg (#5). She also registered 8.3 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Kristina Santiago (185-F-89, agency: LBM Management) of league's second-best Dunav 8806. Santiago scored 14 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). Despite Santiago's great performance Dunav 8806 lost 76-91 to #1 ranked Neftochimic. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Dunav 8806 needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 11 victories and 3 lost games. Santiago has a great season in Bulgaria. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 8.9rpg (5th best). She also has 1.1bpg and FGP: 56.4%.
