Charel Allen
American Charel Allen (181-G-86) had a great game in the last round for Levski and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 26-year old guard had the game-high 19 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Levski in her team's victory, helping them to beat Montana 2003 (#5, 6-10) 79-73. Levski maintains the 3rd position in Bulgarian NBL. Levski is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-8 record. Allen turned to be Levski's top player in her first season with the team. University of Notre Dame graduate has very impressive stats this year. Allen is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 7.4rpg) and averages solid 2.8spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old former international power forward Milena Tomova (189-F/C-82) of Montana 2003. Tomova impressed basketball fans with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Montana 2003 lost that game 73-79 to slightly higher-ranked Levski (#3, 9-8). Montana 2003 is still second from the bottom in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-10 record. Tomova is a newcomer at Montana 2003 and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.4ppg (#3). She also registered 9.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Montana 2003's star - former international forward Radostina Slavova-Naneva (188-F/C-86). Slavova-Naneva scored 16 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Slavova-Naneva's great performance Montana 2003 lost 73-79 to slightly higher-ranked Levski (#3, 9-8). But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The chances of Montana 2003 not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Slavova-Naneva could try to bring Montana 2003's a little bit higher in the standings. Slavova-Naneva has a very solid season. In 15 games in Bulgaria she scored 13.3ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Daniela Peteva (179-F-89) of Levski - 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Vera Perostiyska (195-C-82) of Levski - 22 points and 6 rebounds
6. Amra Mehmedic (177-G-81) of Haskovo 2012 - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Anita Teilane (196-C-85) of Haskovo 2012 - 18 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Katya Kordova (179-G/F-86) of Montana 2003 - 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Radmila Nesheva (172-PG-81) of Montana 2003 - 11 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Biljana Turcinovic (186-PF-89) of Haskovo 2012 - 14 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
