We bring you last week's top performances from Bulgarians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Doneeka Hodges-Lewis
Doneeka Hodges-Lewis
#1. This week's number one is former international point guard Doneeka Hodges-Lewis (175-82, agency: LBM Management, college: LSU, currently plays in Turkey). She led Canik Bld to a victory over the league outsider Edremit (1-19) crushing them 76-49 in the Turkish TKBL in Sunday night's game. Hodges-Lewis was MVP of the game. She scored 19 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 37 minutes on the court. Canik Belediyesi (8-12) is placed tenth in the TKBL. It's Hodges-Lewis' first season with the team. Hodges-Lewis is currently ninth on the list of top scorers with 15.6ppg. She also averaged so far 3.4rpg, 3.6apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 42.8%, 3FGP: 40.9% and FT: 75.0% in the 17 games she played so far. Hodges-Lewis is a naturalized American. She played for the Bulgarian senior national team two years ago. Strangely Hodges-Lewis has never played in Bulgaria.

Daniela Georgieva
Daniela Georgieva
#2. Second place goes to an international swingman Daniela Georgieva (184-86, currently plays in Italy). She was the main contributor in Marghera's victory against the eighth-ranked Broni (10-12) 58-53 in the Italian A2 (12th division) last Saturday. Georgieva was the best player in that game. She recorded 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Sernavimar Marghera (13-9) is placed fifth in North group. The Regular Season already ended. Georgieva has relatively good stats this season: 13.8ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.3apg, 2.3spg, 3FGP: 17.6% and FT: 62.5%. She is in the roster of the Bulgarian senior national team.

Roksana Yordanova
Roksana Yordanova
#3. The Bulgarian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Roksana Yordanova (184-84, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian A2 (12th division). Yordanova could not help San Salvatore (8-14) in their last game. Despite her good performance the ninth-placed San Salvatore was badly defeated 88-68 on the road by the higher-ranked (#4) TEC-MAR Crema in the North group. Yordanova had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting the same number of rebounds in 40 minutes. It was San Salvatore's third consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended. This year Yordanova has relatively solid stats: 13.1ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.3apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 45.5%, 3FGP: 30.3% and FT: 64.0% in the 22 games. She played for the Bulgarian national team two years ago.

Ekaterina Dimitrova
Ekaterina Dimitrova
#4. Guard Ekaterina Dimitrova (182-87, currently plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Union Hainaut (5-15) 90-75 in the French LFB last Saturday. Dimitrova scored 7 points in 17 minutes. Flammes Carolo Basket Ardennes ASPTT (8-12) is placed tenth in the LFB. This year Dimitrova's overall stats are: 5.4ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.6apg and 1.7spg in the 20 games. She used to play for the Bulgarian national team back in 2011.

The list of other players, who all have Bulgarian passport but never been selected to any of Bulgarian national teams:

#1. Viktoria Mircheva (190-C-87, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB could not help Nantes Reze (9-11) to beat Lattes Montpellier (17-3). Mircheva's contribution was not very remarkable in Saturday's game. She scored only 3 points and added 3 passes. Nantes Reze was edged 72-70 on the road by the leading Lattes Montpellier. It was Nantes Reze's fourth consecutive loss in a row. This season Mircheva averages: 7.5ppg and 3.3rpg. She has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Bulgarian.

#2. Dayana Gechkova (173-G, currently plays in Canada) was not able to help the Ryerson College (15-5) in their game against the Queen's (10-10) in the Canadian university league CIS. Gechkova recorded 6 points. The Ryerson College (#3) was crushed 86-64 in Kingston by the Queen's. It was Ryerson College's third consecutive loss in a row. Gechkova has been at the team for four years. This season she averages: 5.9ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.1apg.

#3. Ana Petrova (170-F-82, currently plays in Luxembourg), who plays in the Luxembourg Diekirch League was not able to secure a victory for Etzella (15-3) in their last game. Despite Petrova's good performance Etzella (#2) was edged 77-76 in Bertrange by the leading Sparta in the Places 1-6 group. She recorded 13 points and added 6 passes in 31 minutes.
