The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The game between second ranked Beroe (9-4) and sixth ranked Rilski (7-7) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Beroe was defeated by Rilski in Samokov 101-85. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Beroe. Rilski made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Rilski especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Beroe helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American forward Evan Bruinsma (202-92, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international guard Yordan Bozov (191-79) helped adding 18 points and 7 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). The best for the losing side was the former international Tihomir Zhelev (193-90) with 22 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rilski moved-up to fifth place. Beroe at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Akademik PL. Rilski will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Beroe will play at home against the league's leader Lukoil Acad. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
NBL top team - Lukoil Acad. (12-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Spartak Pleven (6-7) in Sofia 104-71. It was a quality performance for the former international swingman Hristo Zahariev (197-90) who led the winners and scored 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Kris Minkov accounted for 12 points and 5 assists. Lukoil Acad.'s coach Toni Dechev felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Dimitar Marincheshki (200-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for Spartak Pleven in the defeat. Lukoil Acad. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-2 record. Spartak Pleven at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Lukoil Acad. will play against league's second-placed Beroe in Stara Zagora in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spartak Pleven will play at home against Academik Plovdiv (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

In the last two games of round 15 Yambol lost to Akademik PL on the opponent's court 78-87. Balkan managed to outperform Levski in a home game 75-63.

Lukoil Acad. - Spartak Pleven 104-71

NBL top team - Lukoil Acad. (12-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Spartak Pleven (6-7) in Sofia 104-71. Lukoil Acad. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Pleven's 38 and made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Lukoil Acad. had a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a quality performance for the former international swingman Hristo Zahariev (197-90) who led the winners and scored 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Very expected game when 8th ranked Yambol (3-10) was defeated on the road by third ranked Academik Plovdiv (9-4) 87-78. Academik Plovdiv players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for French-American forward Jordan Semple (201-92, college: Chico St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. American point guard Oscar Bellfield (187-90, college: UNLV) accounted for 21 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists for the winning side. Four Academik Plovdiv players scored in double figures. Guard Ventsislav Petkov (188-91, agency: Interperformances) came up with 29 points and 6 assists and point guard Tsvetoslav Ostrev (175-86) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Yambol in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Academik Plovdiv. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Beroe. Yambol lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Academik Plovdiv will play against Spartak Pleven (#6) on the road in the next round. Yambol will play against Balkan and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Very predictable result in Botevgrad where fourth ranked Balkan (8-5) defeated bottom-ranked Levski (2-12) 75-63. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Travis Daniels (202-92, college: Mississippi St.) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Montenegrin center Mihailo Sekulovic (206-91) accounted for 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. The former international forward Veselin Veselinov (202-83, college: W.Virginia St.) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the former international swingman Pavel Ivanov (200-88, agency: Interperformances) added 18 points respectively for Levski in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Balkan. They maintain fourth place with 8-5 record. Levski lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Balkan will play against Yambol (#8) on the road in the next round. Levski will play against Cherno More and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
