The Second Stage in Division A just started.

Levski 2014-2 (0-1) recorded a loss on the court of UE Varna on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by UE Varna 94-91. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-91. UE Varna are looking forward to face Akademik Sofia on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Levski 2014-2 will play against Rilski 2 (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was played in Vidin between Akademik Sofia and Vidabasket where Akademik Sofia (1-0) beat Vidabasket (0-1) on the road 87-75. Akademik Sofia will play against UE Varna at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vidabasket will play against Chavdar (#4) in Troyan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of Chavdar (0-1) against Rilski 2 (1-0) on Sunday night. Visiting Chavdar was crushed by Rilski 2 in Samokov 97-72. Rilski 2 will meet Levski 2014-2 (#5) in the next round. Chavdar will play against Vidabasket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very interesting game took place in . It ended with only two-point home defeat of CSKA (0-1) to Cherno More 2 (1-0) 73-71 on Sunday evening. Cherno More 2's next round opponent will be Dolphin (#12) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. CSKA will play against Dunav 2016 in Ruse and hope to win that game.

In the last two games of round 1 In A Akademik Varna defeated Dolphin in a road game 72-60. Shumen lost to Dunav 2016 at home 69-77.

Rilski 2 - Chavdar 97-72

Very important is a road loss of Chavdar (0-1) against Rilski 2 (1-0) on Sunday night. Visiting Chavdar was crushed by Rilski 2 in Samokov 97-72. The game without a history. Rilski 2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Rilski 2 will meet Levski 2014-2 (#5) in the next round. Chavdar will play against Vidabasket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

CSKA - Cherno More 2 71-73

A very interesting game took place in Sofia. It ended with only two-point home defeat of CSKA (0-1) to Cherno More 2 (1-0) 73-71 on Sunday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But CSKA won fourth quarter 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cherno More 2's next round opponent will be Dolphin (#12) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. CSKA will play against Dunav 2016 in Ruse and hope to win that game.

Shumen - Dunav 2016 69-77

But Shumen was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Ruse 77-69. It looked good early as Shumen took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Dunav 2016 had a 26-21 second period charge getting the lead and Shumen was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-77. Dunav 2016's next round opponent will be CSKA (#11). Shumen will play against Akademik Varna and hope to win that game.

Talented Nikolay Nikolov (201-SF-97) had an amazing evening in the last round for UE Varna and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Division A Player of the Week award for round 1. The 20-year old had the game-high 26 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for UE Varna in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Shumen (#5, 0-1) with 31-point margin 98-67. The Regular Season in Division A just started. The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The biggest surprise of round 1 in Division A took place in Troyan where host Chavdar (1-0) beat Beroe-2 (0-1) 97-84 on Sunday evening.
