Very significant was Haskovo 2012's (#1, 7-2) victory against second-ranked Montana 2003 (6-3) 76-72. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Haskovo 2012 looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Bahamas center Waltiea Rolle (198-90, college: N.Carolina) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican point guard Jennifer O'Neill (168-90, college: Kentucky) helped adding 15 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international forward Tsvetomira Sharenkapova (184-91) responded with 16 points. Haskovo 2012 maintains first place with 7-2 record. Defending champion Montana 2003 keeps the second position with three games lost. Haskovo 2012 are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Septemvri (#5) in Sofia in the next round. Montana 2003 will have a break next round.
Bottom-ranked Septemvri (0-9) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to fourth ranked Neftochimic (4-5) 102-57. It was an exceptional evening for Slovenian center Tina Trebec (190-90) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Ashley Prim accounted for 12 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Guard Ivona Ilieva (176-98) came up with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for Septemvri in the defeat. Septemvri's coach Aleksandar Apostolov gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Neftochimic maintains fourth place with 4-5 record. Septemvri at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Neftochimic will play against higher ranked Beroe (#3) in Stara Zagora in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Septemvri will play at home against the league's leader Haskovo 2012 and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Neftochimic dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Septemvri's 40. Neftochimic forced 24 Septemvri turnovers and outrebounded them 53-34 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Neftochimic players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Septemvri's players. It was an exceptional evening for Slovenian center Tina Trebec (190-90) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds.
