There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in NBL.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Lukoil Acad. (13-3) in Sofia on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Rilski (8-7) 75-66. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Lukoil Acad.. American players dominated the game. Forward D.J. Shelton (208-91, college: Washington St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Evan Bruinsma (202-92, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Steve Zack (211-92, college: La Salle) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds for Lukoil Acad.Lukoil Acad.'s coach Toni Dechev rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rilski maintains fifth place with 8-7 record. Defending champion Lukoil Acad. still keeps top position with three games lost. Rilski are looking forward to face league's second-placed Academik Plovdiv at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lukoil Acad. will have a break next round.
Important game to mention about took place in Botevgrad. Sixth ranked Spartak Pleven (7-8) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Balkan (9-6) 79-78 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Balkan. Montenegrin-Serbian center Milovan Savic (205-87) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Dimitar Marincheshki chipped in 13 points and 13 rebounds. Montenegrin center Mihailo Sekulovic (206-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Spartak Pleven maintains sixth place with 7-8 record. Balkan at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Beroe. Spartak Pleven will play against Cherno More (#7) in Varna in the next round. Balkan will play on the road against Beroe (#4) in Stara Zagora and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Academik Plovdiv (11-4) which hosted in Plovdiv 4th placed Beroe (9-6). Second ranked Academik Plovdiv managed to get a 12-point victory 89-77. Jordan Semple nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side. Brandis Raley-Ross came up with 21 points for Beroe in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Academik Plovdiv have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-4 record having just three points less than leader Lukoil Acad. Beroe lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with Balkan. Academik Plovdiv will meet Rilski (#5) in the next round. Beroe will play against Balkan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 17 Yambol was beaten by Cherno More on the road 78-69.

An interesting game for Academik Plovdiv (11-4) which hosted in Plovdiv 4th placed Beroe (9-6). Second ranked Academik Plovdiv managed to get a 12-point victory 89-77. Academik Plovdiv looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. French-American forward Jordan Semple (201-92, college: Chico St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and American point guard Oscar Bellfield (187-90, college: UNLV) accounted for 9 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. Four Academik Plovdiv players scored in double figures. American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (191-87, college: S.Carolina) came up with 21 points and the other American import guard Shane Gibson (188-90, college: Sacred Heart) added 19 points respectively for Beroe in the defeat. Serbian power forward Nikola Djuric (201-91) nailed 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Deyan Karamfilov (180-94) accounted for 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Cherno More's coach Spas Natov used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Ventsislav Petkov (188-91, agency: Interperformances) came up with 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Stoyan Petkov (198-85) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Yambol in the defeat. Cherno More maintains seventh place with 5-10 record. Yambol lost their tenth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. They share it with Levski. Cherno More will meet higher ranked Spartak Pleven (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
