Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Bulgarians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is U20 international point guard Iva Georgieva (170-96, college: Salt Lake CC, currently plays in Italy). Georgieva could not help Alghero (1-17) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her very good performance the 14th-placed Alghero (1-17) was crushed 71-44 at home by the much higher-ranked Costa Masnaga (#6) in the Group A. Georgieva was the top scorer with 21 points. She also added 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks. It's Georgieva's first season with the team. Georgieva has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 16.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.1apg, 1.3bpg, 4.3spg, 2FGP: 39.1%, 3FGP: 23.3% and FT: 60.9%. Georgieva is currently a member of the Bulgarian U20 national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Diana Voynova (192-88, college: Duquesne, currently plays in Germany). She contributed to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked TH Wohnbau Angels (6-11) crushing them 94-74 in the German DBBL on Saturday night. Voynova scored 8 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 25 minutes. BC Pharmaserv Marburg (10-7) is placed fifth in the DBBL. Voynova has relatively good stats this year: 11.1ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.1bpg, 2FGP: 46.9% and FT: 59.2% in 15 games she played so far. She is in the roster of the Bulgarian senior national team.

   #3. The Bulgarian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U20 international guard Gergana Georgieva (181-87, currently plays in Germany). Georgieva was not able to help ASC Theresianum Mainz (2-14) in their last game. Despite her good performance ASC Theresianum Mainz (#11) was crushed 73-47 on the road by the higher-ranked (#9) Keltern II in the South group. Georgieva had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 10 rebounds in 24 minutes. It was ASC Theresianum Mainz's seventh consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Georgieva has very impressive stats this year: 16.4ppg, 9.4rpg, 3.3apg, 2.6spg, 2FGP: 53.3%, 3FGP: 22.7% and FT: 71.1% in 16 games. She has a dual citizenship: Bulgarian and German. Georgieva played for the Bulgarian U20 national team ten years ago.

   #4. Guard Maria-Magdalena Kolyandrova (166-97, currently plays in Denmark) was not able to secure a victory for Lemvig (7-7) in their game against Stevnsgade (0-20) in the Danish Dameligaen. She cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Kolyandrova scored only one point, had 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Lemvig was edged 72-70 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Stevnsgade (#8). It was Lemvig's third consecutive loss in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Kolyandrova's overall stats this season are: 8.4ppg, 3.9rpg, 3.2apg and 1.4spg. She is also Bulgarian U20 national team player.


The list of other players, who all have Bulgarian passport but never been selected to any of Bulgarian national teams:

   #1. Viktoria Mircheva (190-C-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in Turkey) could not help one of league's weakest teams Samsun (13-9) in their last game. Despite her very good performance Samsun was edged 59-57 at home by the higher-ranked (#7) Hatay. Mircheva was the second best scorer with 18 points. She also added 6 rebounds in 37 minutes. Mircheva has relatively good stats this year: 11.1ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.4apg in 16 games she played so far. She has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Bulgarian.

   #2. Maria Kostourkova (193-C-97, currently plays college basketball in the States) was not able to help the Washington St. in their game against the University of Arizona (4-0) in the NCAA. Kostourkova recorded 8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. The Washington St. was defeated 70-62 on the road by the University of Arizona. There are only four games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Kostourkova's overall stats this season are: 4.0ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.4bpg. She is another player who holds two passports: Bulgarian and Portuguese. Despite Kostourkova's Bulgarian nationality, she currently plays for the Portuguese U20 national team and is not eligible to play for the Bulgarian team.

   #3. Aneliya Draganova (167-PG-99, currently plays in Germany) managed to help Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel to win against the seventh-ranked SG BBZ Opladen (8-9) 72-55 in the German 2.Bundesliga (second division) on Saturday night. She scored only 3 points. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (15-2) is placed first in North group. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Draganova's overall stats this season are: 5.4ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.4apg.

   #4. Ana-Maria Kolyandrova (165-G-97, currently plays in Denmark) was not able to secure a victory for Lemvig (7-7) in their game against Stevnsgade (0-20) in the Danish Dameligaen. She scored 5 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 20 minutes. Lemvig was edged 72-70 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked (#8) Stevnsgade. It was Lemvig's third consecutive loss in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Kolyandrova's overall stats are: 4.8ppg, 3.4rpg, 2.1apg and 1.4spg in 14 games.

Talented Antonia Filipova (180-SF-98) had an amazing evening in the last round for Slavia and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 1. The 19-year old had the game-high 19 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Slavia in her team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team NSA (#5, 0-1) with 19-point margin 65-46. The Regular Season in NBL just started. Beroe smashed Rilski Sportist in Stara Zagora 69-40. Beroe dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Rilski Sportist's 28. Beroe forced 25 Rilski Sportist turnovers and outrebounded them 45-26 including 30 on the defensive glass.
