Evan
Bruinsma
24-year old forward Evan Bruinsma (202-F-92, agency: Inception Sports) had a very impressive game in the last round for Rilski and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 20.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 16 rebounds, while his team edged out Cherno More (#7, 5-13) 97-94. Rilski maintains the 4th position in Bulgarian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Rilski will need more victories to improve their 11-7 record. Bruinsma turned to be Rilski's top player in his first season with the team. University of Detroit Mercy graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bruinsma is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 7.7rpg) and averages solid 59.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Stanislav Tsonkov (192-G-91) of Cherno More. He is a guard in his 7th season at Cherno More. In the last game Tsonkov recorded impressive 40 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Cherno More was edged by the higher-ranked Rilski (#4, 11-7) 97-94. Cherno More is still second from the bottom in the standings. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Cherno More managed to get this year. Tsonkov is one of the most experienced players at Cherno More and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.8ppg (#7). He also registered 4.6 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Milovan Savic (205-C-87) of Spartak Pleven (#5). Savic scored 17 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Spartak Pleven, leading his team to a 95-88 win against the lower-ranked Yambol (#8, 4-13). Spartak Pleven needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 9 lost games. Savic has a great season in Bulgaria. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.9rpg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Nikola Djuric (201-C/F-91) of Cherno More - 16 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists

6. Ventsislav Petkov (188-G-91) of Yambol - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
