We bring you last week's top performances from Bulgarians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Darius Adams
Darius Adams
#1. This week's number one is an international point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, currently plays in Asia Champions Cup). He led his Chinese team Xinjiang Flying Tige to a surprising victory over the league leader Astana (3-1) 79-70 in the Asia Champions Cup in Friday night's game. Adams was MVP of the game. He recorded 27 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in 34 minutes on the court. Xinjiang Flying Tigers (3-1) are placed seventh in the Asia Champions Cup. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Adams has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 22.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 4.3apg, 2.9spg, 2FGP: 54.2%, 3FGP: 41.8% and FT: 81.8% in seven games he played so far. Adams is a naturalized American. He played for the Bulgarian senior national team one years ago. Strangely Adams has never played in Bulgaria.

Aleksander Vezenkov
Aleksander Vezenkov
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Aleksander Vezenkov (206-95, currently plays in Spain). He was the major contributor in a FC Barcelona's victory against the 12th-ranked Baskonia (0-1) 87-82 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Friday. Vezenkov recorded 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. It was his first game for FC Barcelona this season. His team is placed first in the Liga Endesa. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Vezenkov has a dual citizenship: Cypriot and Bulgarian. Despite he played previously for the Cypriot U16 national team, Vezenkov is currently a member of the Bulgarian senior national team.

Dee Bost
Dee Bost
#3. The Bulgarian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Dee Bost (188-89, agency: BeoBasket, college: Mississippi St., currently plays in Lithuania). He contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked P.Zvaigzdes (0-2) crushing them 106-64 in the Lithuanian LKL on Monday night. Bost scored 8 points, made 6 passes and 3 steals in 17 minutes. B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (3-1) is placed fourth in the LKL. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Bost's first year with the team. This season his overall stats are: 7.5ppg, 1.8rpg, 4.0apg, 1.5spg, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 87.5% in four games. Bost is a naturalized American. He is also a member of the Bulgarian senior national team. Apparently Bost has never played in Bulgaria.

Jason Washburn
