Playoff Finals, Game 1: Gospic CO - Jolly JBS 87-63
Gospic took the lead in the Finals series against Jolly JBS Sibenik, after beating them at home 87-63. As it was expected, two best Croatian teams have met in the finals once again and now it is Gospic who needs two more wins to take it all. Start of the match was better for visiting side which came out stronger from the gate. They were almost perfect on the offensive end and have taken an early control of the match. After one quarter the score stood at 23-27. However, in the second period, Gospic regained composure and have managed to tie the match. They closed the halftime with a run which gave them 50-40 lead. Third quarter proved to be pivotal in the match as Gospic players managed to shut down their opponent defensively. They allowed Sibenik players to score only 8 points in the quarter, while they scored 23. As result match entered the final period with Gospic comfortably up 73-48. From that point they had no troubles closing the game out for the final score of 87-63. Jelena Ivezic (184-G-84) was exceptional for the winning side as she led the way with 21 points on the night. Carla Thomas (191-F/C-85, agency: LBM Management, college: Vanderbilt) contributed with double-double of 16 points and 11 boards, while Ina Marin (170-G-86) and Ivana Jurcevic (174-G-81) chipped in 13 and 12 points respectively. On the other side, Sibenik got 17 point effort from Luca Ivankovic (200-C-87), while Antonija Misura (177-F-88) scored 16 points. Game Two is scheduled for April 28th.

Novi Zagreb extended Slovenian Eva Komplet (182-F/C-86) for one more year and has bolstered its backcourt by bringing back national team member Monika Bosilj (178-G-85, college: FIU), who spent last season at Gospic.

She averaged 4.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.1 asists in 25 Croatian League games this season and 2.9 points over 10 Euroleague games.
