Croatia U17 - Spain U17 93:61

Croatia stepped on the podium at the U17 World Championship. They denied Spain in the consolation final tonight to claim Bronze. Mario Hezonja (202-G/F-95) scored 23 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and issued 4 assists to lead the winners.
Croatia led by four points ten minutes into the game 15:11. They stretched the margin in the second frame. Croats went on a massive 28:12 run to take a comfortable 43:23 halftime lead. Croatia did not loosen the grasp in the second half. They piled up a 22-point lead at the final break. Croatia poured in 27 points in the fourth quarter to seal a confident win at the end. Paolo Marinelli (190-G-95) and Karlo Zganec (205-C/F-95) delivered 13 points each for Croatia. Bosnjak and Gabric added 11 points each in the victory. Ilimane Diop (210-C-95) answered with 13 points for Spain. Agusti Sans (195-SG-95) netted 11 points in the losing case.

Skrljevo have confirmed the appointment of Damir Rajkovic as their new head coach, only one day after parting company with Luka Bujas . His last job was as the head coach of women club Kvarner from 2014 through 2016. He led the team to the 2015 Croatian Championship Finals and to the 2016 Adriatica MZRKL Final-Four plus Crotian Cup finals.
