The 6'11" power forward/center Jozo Brkic (211-F/C-86, agency: Interperformances) has agreed terms with the Croatian A1 Club, KK Zadar. Jozo is a Siroki product and has both Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina passports. Has spent the last three season with HKK Capljina Lasta. Jozo had a great 2011 season as he made it to the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team. Was also awarded as Eurobasket.com All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League Domestic Player of the Year, All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League 1st Team, Bosnia and Herzegovina League All-Domestic Players Team and Bosnia and Herzegovina League All-Defensive Team. Jozo averaged 14.6 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game and 1.3 assists per game.

They need more victories to improve their 12-13 record. In the team's last game Mustapic had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Vrij.Osijek's top player in his first season with the team. Mustapic has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.4ppg) and averages solid 53.3% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Goran Filipovic (180-PG-96) of top-ranked KK Split. He is a guard in his 5th season at KK Split. In the last game Filipovic recorded impressive double-double of 20 points and 12 assists. Of course he led KK Split to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Zabok (#10, 8-16) 105-68. This victory allowed KK Split to move up to 1st position in the standings. His team lost just four games this season, while they won 21 matches. Filipovic is one of the most experienced players at KK Split and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Ivan Papac (207-F/C-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) of Jolly JBS (#3). Papac scored 15 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Jolly JBS, leading his team to a 90-79 win against the lower-ranked H.Analitica (#13, 5-20). Jolly JBS needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 19 victories and 6 lost games. Papac has a very solid season. In 24 games in Croatia he scored 5.4ppg. He also has 4.0rpg and FGP: 63.8%.

GKK Sibenik-Cibona 67-69: There were only three lead changes. Sibenik opened the game with five consecutive points at had their largest lead of the night at 21-14. At that point, Cibona scored nine straight points to ignite a 17-2 run for a 31-23 lead. After Sibenik re-take the lead at 51-49 midway through the third quarter, Luka Zoric (211-C-84) tied the score two free throws and Scottie Reynolds (188-PG-87, college: Villanova) sank a 3-pointer that gave Cibona a 54-51 lead late in the third quarter and never looked back from there. Cibona missed tho shots when was ahead 66-62 with less than two minutes remaining. Roko Badzim (197-G-97) then made a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to one. Cibona commited a 24-second violation on the next possession. Sibenik's Izzet Turkyilmaz (212-F/C-90) then missed both free throws with 45 seconds left, but his teammates grabbed an offensive rebound. Roko Badzim missed a 3-pointer and Izzet Turkyilmaz snagged another offensive rebounds for Sibenik. Ive Ivanov (200-C-85) missed a jumper, Nebojsa Joksimovic (193-SF-81) grabbed a defensive rebound and was fouled with six seconds to go. He made the first free throw to put Cibona up 67-65 and missed the second one. Ive Ivanov tied the score with two seconds left and Cibona called a time-out. The visitors set up a final play and Marin Rozic made a game-winning buzzer-beater. Scottie Reynolds came off the bench for 17 points including five 3-pointers, Zeljko Sakic (204-F-88) had 15 points and 13 rebounds, Marin Rozic finished with 14 points and Luka Zoric scored 11. Sibenik was ourtrebounded 35-43. Ivan Siriscevic (198-G/F-87) scored 15 points, all coming behind the 3-point arc, Miralem Halilovic (205-F-91) added 14 points, Roko Badzim 11 and Ive Ivanov 10.
Split-Zabok 105-68: Split used a 12-0 run to build a 22-8 lead. Zabok cut the deficit to 22-25 and was down by six midway through the second quarter. At that point, Split scored nine consecutive points for a 49-34 lead and in the second half outscored Zabok 46-26. Damir Rancic (199-G-83) scored 22 points on shooting 6-of-10 behind the 3-point line, Goran Filipovic (180-PG-96) had 20 points and 12 assists, Mate Kalajzic (187-PG-98) posted 12 points, Mateo Kedzo (206-F/C-84) and Josip Jukic (207-F/C-96) both added 10 points. Zabok was led by Borna Kapusta (182-PG-96) and Pasko Vrlika (204-F/C-91), who scored 14 points apiece, Ivan Vodopija (202-F/C-93) added 12 and Nick Tomsick (185-G-91, college: Fort Lewis) 10.
Hermes-Jolly JBS 79-90: The game featured 12 lead changes and 5 ties before Jolly went on a 9-0 run to turn a two-point deficit into a 71-64 lead early in the fourth quarter. Hermes climbed back to within two, but the visitors made an 11-2 run to extend their advantage to 86-75 with two and a half minutes left. Ivan Novacic (201-F-85) scored 22 points, Josip Bilinovac (191-SG-90) 18, Ivan Papac (207-F/C-87) had 15 points and 11 rebounds off the bench and Mike Scott (183-PG-93, college: Idaho) added 10 points. Hermes shot better from 3-point land (43-percent, 10-of-23) then from the free-throw line (39-percent, 7-of-18). Julian Rajic (206-F-85) scored 21 points, Ivan Svoboda (190-G-87) 18 and Hrvoje Garafolic 17.
Alkar-Cedevita 63-83: Cedevita trailed just at 9-10 and took control of the game behind a 14-2 run for a 26-14 lead midway through the second quarter. Alkar cut the deficit to five, but the visitors responded with a 13-3 run to extend their lead to 44-29. Cedevita shot 71-percent (27-of-38) from 2-point range. Dzanan Musa (204-SG-99) came off the bench for 23 points on shooting 9-of-12 from the field, John Shurna (204-F-90, college: Northwestern) scored 12 points, Filip Kruslin (198-SG-89) 11 and Miro Bilan (213-C) had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Alkar had just six free throws to Cedevita's 18. Hrvoje Vucic (212-C-91, college: Walsh) finished with 17 points and Josip Boban (190-G-95) scored 12.
Gorica-Kvarner 92-82: Gorica sank three straight 3-pointers to extend a 3-point lead to 42-31 midway through the second quarter and later used an 8-0 run to go ahead 57-39. The margin never dropped below double digits the rest of the way. Gorica outrebounded Kvarner 36-26, picking up 10 offensive rebounds. Ante Masic (200-F-85) scored 20 points, Ljubo Prgomet (194-G/F-84) came off the bench for 19 points, Javan Felix (180-PG-94, college: Texas) added 15 points, Marko Petrovic (192-G-91, college: USF) 13 and Kristijan Sutalo (207-G-90) had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kvarner had all five starters in double scoring figures. Marko Pesic (198-G-76) scored 17 points, Mate Vucic (203-F/C-97) 15, Ivan Kucan (192-G/F-96) and Andrej Stimac (204-F/C-79) both posted 11 points and Josip Barnjak (190-G/F-98) 10.
Vrijednosnice Osijek-Zagreb 75-63: Zagreb scored dozen straight points for a 24-8 lead late in the first quarter and was still ahead by 16 late in the third quarter. At that point, Osijek made an 18-4 run to cut the deficit to 45-47. Aljosa Sarac (190-G-89) sank back-to-back 3-pointers to put Osijek up 59-57 with seven minutes remaining and ignite a decisive 22-2 run. Jakov Mustapic (193-G-94) scored 30 points including five 3-pointers and was a rebound shy of a double-double, Domagoj Vukovic (208-F/C-93) collected 12 points and 12 rebounds, Aljosa Sarac and Nikola Turalija (205-C-94) both scored 10 points. Zagreb had 20 free throws to Osijek's just five. Toni Vitali (203-F-91) scored 18 points and Pavle Marcinkovic (199-G/F-89) 11.
