Novi Zagreb is the winner of preseason tournament in Wasserburg. The Euroleague newcomer handed 91-84 loss to TSV Wasserburg in the final game. Sandra Mandir (177-G-77) was a key player for Croatians with 28 points. Mirna Mazic (188-F-85, college: Richmond) was their second scorer with 15 pts and Matea Vrdoljak (186-F-85) added one less. In defeat, Anne Breitreiner (183-G/F-84, agency: LBM Management) shined with 25 points and Emma Cannon (188-F, college: Cent.Florida) netted 13 pts. Fikiel stopped to 12 points in this defeat. Quarters: 23-21, 43-33, 74-54, 91-84.
In the Semifinals, Novi Zagreb grabbed 76-75 thriller win against Heligirls Donau Ries. Sandra Mandir once again was the leading player in victory with 23 points. Matea Vrdoljak and Mirna Mazic scored 15 points apiece. Morgan Henderson (185-F-88, college: San Diego) replied with 19 points in defeat and Ferrer had 16 points. Quarters: 8-21, 39-34, 59-53, 76-75.

A1 is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 11 rounds left. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zagreb. Second ranked Tresnjevka faced 3rd placed KK Zadar. Host Tresnjevka (9-1) smashed guests from Zadar (7-3) 79-58. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of KK Zadar.
