Undefeated KK Zagreb (6-1) recorded its first loss on the court of eighth ranked KK Zabok on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by KK Zabok 88-62. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of KK Zagreb. The game was mostly controlled by KK Zabok. KK Zagreb managed to win second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KK Zabok forced 19 KK Zagreb turnovers. KK Zabok shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Guard Robert Lez (192-G-79) fired 27 points for the winners. Guard Mario Pesut (184-90) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. Center Matija Poscic (204-85, college: De Paul) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KK Zabok (3-4) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. KK Zagreb at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Kvarner 2010. KK Zabok is looking forward to face league's second-placed Kvarner 2010 in Rijeka in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KK Zagreb will play at home against Osjecki Sokol in Osijek and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Vrijednosnice OS (3-4) against eighth ranked Alkar Sinj (3-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Vrijednosnice OS was defeated by Alkar Sinj in a tough game in Sinj 64-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vrijednosnice OS. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Zeljko Zupic (205-81, college: Denver) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds. Slavko Modric contributed with 14 points for the winners. Bosnian center Mato Peraica (203-81) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for Vrijednosnice OS. Alkar Sinj moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Vrijednosnice OS. Alkar Sinj will play against higher ranked Djuro Djakovic (#3) in Slavonski Brod in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vrijednosnice OS will play at home against Krizevci and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Krizevci was also quite interesting. Second ranked Kvarner 2010 (6-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Krizevci (3-4). Kvarner 2010 defeated Krizevci 85-74 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Bojan Krivec who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. At the losing side Patrick Rembert responded with 20 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kvarner 2010 have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They used an opportunity after KK Zagreb lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Krizevci keeps the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Kvarner 2010 will meet at home KK Zabok (#5) in the next round. Krizevci will play against Vrijednosnice OS in Darda and hope to secure a win.

Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for Mate Mrva who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Jolly moved-up to third place, which they share with Djuro Djakovic. Newly promoted Osjecki Sokol keeps the ninth position with five games lost. Jolly's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked KK Dubrovnik (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Osjecki Sokol will play against the league's leader KK Zagreb.

In the last game of round 7 bottom-ranked Dubrovnik was defeated by Djuro Djakovic in Slavonski Brod 90-77.

The game was mostly controlled by Kvarner 2010. Krizevci managed to win fourth quarter 34-29. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kvarner 2010 dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Krizevci's 22. It was a great evening for Slovenian guard Bojan Krivec (188-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Power forward Jure Skific (202-88) helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. Five Kvarner 2010 players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Patrick Rembert (185-89, college: Cal-Irvine) responded with 20 points and guard Ivan Svoboda (190-87) scored 17 points. Very important is a road loss of third ranked Vrijednosnice OS (3-4) against eighth ranked Alkar Sinj (3-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Vrijednosnice OS was defeated by Alkar Sinj in a tough game in Sinj 64-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vrijednosnice OS. It looked good early as Vrijednosnice OS took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Alkar Sinj had a 22-15 second period charge getting the lead and Vrijednosnice OS was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-70. Alkar Sinj made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Vrijednosnice OS was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Zeljko Zupic (205-81, college: Denver) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Slavko Modric (203-84) contributed with 14 points for the winners. There was no surprise in Slavonski Brod where 10th ranked KK Dubrovnik (1-6) was defeated by sixth ranked Djuro Djakovic (4-3) 90-77. The game was mostly controlled by Djuro Djakovic. KK Dubrovnik was better in third quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Djuro Djakovic forced 21 KK Dubrovnik turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Djuro Djakovic brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Marko Batina (198-86) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 4 assists. Power forward Marino Sarlija (207-89) accounted for 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winning side. Swingman Dino Jakolis (200-91, college: Valparaiso) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Mislav Peric (191-88) added 28 points (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) respectively for KK Dubrovnik in the defeat. Djuro Djakovic moved-up to third place, which they share with Jolly. KK Dubrovnik lost their third game in a row. KK Dubrovnik at the other side stay at the bottom position with six games lost.
