Jaksa Vulic
As reported yesterday, KK Cedevita Zagreb's head coach Bozidar Maljkovic (agency: Interperformances ) made a sudden decision to leave the club right before KK Cedevita Zagreb's important game against EA7 Emporio Armani Milano, which was confirmed at the yesterday's press conference by KK Cedevita Zagreb's Sports Director Matej Mamic: "Today, around 11 am, I've received a call from Ivo Nakic, manager of the coach Maljkovic, who said to me that the coach quits from further involvement in KK Cedevita Zagreb, which unpleasantly surprised me because of the previous conversations with the coach I couldn't believe that this could happen.Of course, I called him later and in a conversation with him, I saw that simply he doesn't have the strength nor the desire to continue to lead KK Cedevita Zagreb."

Mamic also announced temporary and potentially permanent Maljkovic's replacement. "As for the future leadership of the club, Jaksa Vulic is the coach and he will lead the club in further period. Of course, until we don't sit down and see what are we going to do." - Mamic said.

Coach Vulic also commented this sudden situation: "I must say that this situation is for me, the entire club, and I believe for you too, is very surprising. Too little time has passed that I could now talk about it some more. Situation is as it is, we must prepare for EA7 Emporio Armani Milano, and there's not too much time. The game is very important and we have to fly to adapt to new circumstances. What will be the reaction of the team, we can only speculate. I hope the reaction will be positive and that we will in these two games that are waiting for us provide a good game."

KK Cedevita Zagreb's SG Bracey Wright (191-G-84, agency: Priority Sports, college: Indiana) also showed up at the conference and said: " I just found out the coach's decision. I'm surprised, but in sport this happens, especially when it comes to coaches. It's always the hardest job to be a coach. One day you're here, another you're not. We, as a team, now must get together and concentrate on the games."
