Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Croatians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Marko Popovic (185-82, college: S.Idaho JC, currently plays in Lithuania). He led Zalgiris to a victory over the seventh-ranked Lietuvos rytas (3-1) 90-79 in the Lithuanian LKL in Monday night's game. Popovic was MVP of the game. He scored 20 points and added 3 assists in 23 minutes on the court. B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (4-0) is placed second in the LKL. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Popovic averages: 10.0ppg, 3.0apg, 2FGP: 75.0%, 3FGP: 33.3% in the three games he played so far. He played for the Croatian senior national team one years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Ante Tomic (217-87, currently plays in Euroleague). Tomic was the major contributor in a Regal FC Barcelona's victory against the sixth-ranked Lietuvos rytas (1-6) crushing them 90-66 in the Euroleague last Thursday. He recorded 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Regal FC Barcelona (7-0) is placed first in group D. So far his team won all seven games in the Regular Season. There are only three games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Tomic is currently third on the list of best blockers. His overall stats this season are: 8.7ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.7apg, 1.7bpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 60.5%(26-43) and FT: 40.9%. Tomic played for the Croatian national team in 2011.

The Croatian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international swingman Krunoslav Simon (197-85, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. He could not help one of league's weakest teams Unicaja Malaga (5-4) in their last game. Despite Simon's very good performance Unicaja Malaga lost 79-90 on the road to the higher-ranked (#6) Caja Laboral. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Simon also added 4 rebounds in 33 minutes. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Simon has relatively good stats this year: 10.9ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 53.1%, 3FGP: 43.8% and FT: 78.6% in the nine games. He is also a member of the Croatian senior national team.

   #4. Power forward Mario Delas (207-90, currently plays in Lithuania) is a teammate of previously mentioned Marko Popovic. But that was another game of his team in Lithuanian LKL which we would like to mention. Delas contributed to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked Pieno Zvaigzdes (3-4) crushing them 93-43. He recorded 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (4-0) is placed second in the LKL. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. It's Delas' first season with the team. Delas' overall stats this year are: 8.8ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.5apg. He used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2009.

Former U20 international center Leon Radosevic (206-90, currently plays in VTB United League) contributed to a Lietuvos rytas' victory against the tenth-ranked PGE Turow (1-5) 78-71 in the VTB United League last Monday. Radosevic scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 28 minutes. Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius (3-3) is placed sixth in group A. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Radosevic's overall stats are: 8.7ppg and 5.2rpg in the six games. He used to play for the Croatian U20 national team two years ago.

   #6. Forward Kresimir Loncar (210-83, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in Euroleague) was not able to help Khimky (4-3) in their game against Real Madrid (5-2) in the Euroleague. Loncar recorded 9 points. But the third-placed Khimky was crushed 104-81 in Madrid by the leading Real in the group A of Euroleague. They ended the series of three consecutive victories. There are only three games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Loncar's total stats this season are: 10.0ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.3apg. He is a former international player as he played for the Croatian senior team two years ago.

International swingman Fran Pilepic (193-89, currently plays in Eurocup) helped his Spanish team Gescrap BB win their game against the closely-ranked Lukoil Academik (1-2) crushing them 85-64 in the Eurocup in Wednesday night's game. Pilepic scored 10 points in 21 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket (3-0) is placed first in the Eurocup. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. There are only three games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This year Pilepic averages only 7.0ppg in the three games. He is also Croatian national team player.

   #8. Center Mario Kasun (213-80, currently plays in Euroleague) helped his Italian team Montepaschi Siena edge the closely-ranked Maccabi T-A (5-2) 89-87 in the Euroleague last Friday. Kasun recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Montepaschi Siena (4-3) is placed third in group B. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. Kasun's total stats this season are: 5.4ppg and 4.4rpg. He used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2009.

   #9. International center Luka Zoric (211-84, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Krunoslav Simon. However that was another game of his team in Euroleague which brought him to that list. Zoric helped his Spanish team Unicaja Malaga win their game against the sixth-ranked Asseco Prokom Gdynia (1-6) 63-48. He recorded 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 15 minutes. Unicaja Malaga (6-1) is placed first in group B. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Zoric is ranked fourth on the list of the best blockers in the league with 1.3bpg. This year his other stats are: 7.9ppg and 4.3rpg in the seven games. Zoric is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.

   #10. Power forward Drago Pasalic (208-84, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL was not able to secure a victory for Turk Telekom (2-5) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance Turk Telekom was crushed 103-81 in Istanbul by the much higher-ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (#3). Pasalic was the top scorer with 23 points. He also added 8 rebounds, 4 assists and made 2 blocks. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. This season Pasalic has relatively solid stats: 13.3ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.4apg. He is a former international player as three years ago he still played for the Croatian senior national team.

   #11. Former international point guard Jakov Vladovic (187-83, currently plays in EuroChallenge), who plays in Slovenia couldn't help Krka (2-2) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his good performance Krka (#3) was edged 82-79 in Bursa by the second-ranked Tofas in the group A of EuroChallenge. Vladovic was the second best scorer with 13 points. He also added 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists. Vladovic has reliable stats this season: 11.8ppg, 6.5rpg, 4.5apg and 1.3spg. He used to play for the Croatian national team three years ago.

   #12. International point guard Dontaye Draper (180-84, college: Charleston, currently plays in Euroleague) faced previously mentioned Kresimir Loncar in the Euroleague last game. Draper managed to help Real Madrid in a victory against the third-ranked Khimky crushing them 104-81. He recorded only 4 points and had 3 steals in 13 minutes. This year Draper's total stats are: 2.6ppg, 2.1apg and 1.7spg in the seven games. He is a naturalized American. Draper used to play for the Croatian national team last year. He played also for Cedevita Zagreb in Croatian league.

   #13. International point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-84, currently plays in Euroleague) helped his Greek team Panathinaikos edge the sixth-ranked Cantu 71-69 in the Euroleague last Friday. Ukic recorded 7 points and added 3 assists. Ukic averaged so far 10.4ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.7apg. He is also Croatian national team player.

   #14. Former U20 international center Ante Djugum (211-88, agency: Court Side, currently plays in Slovenia) helped Zlatorog win their game against the eighth-ranked LTHcast Mercator 85-80 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. Djugum had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds in 24 minutes. Djugum is currently seventh on the list of best rebounders with 6.5rpg. This year his other stats are: 11.0ppg in the six games. Djugum used to play for the Croatian U20 national team back in 2008.

   #15. International point guard Rok Stipcevic (185-86, currently plays in Italy) helped Armani Milano win their game against the league outsider Vanoli Cremona 78-59 in the Italian SerieA in Monday night's game. He scored 12 points. This season Stipcevic averages only 5.0ppg. He is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.


The list of other players, who all have Croatian passport but never been selected to any of Croatian national teams:

   #1. Igor Maric (196-F-85, currently plays in Slovenia) led Maribor Messer to a victory over the ninth-ranked Grosuplje (1-5) 79-68 in the Slovenian Telemach League last Saturday. Maric was the best player in that game. He scored 16 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 33 minutes. KK Maribor Messer (5-1) is placed first in the Telemach League. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. This year Maric's total stats are: 9.3ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.2spg in the six games he played so far.

   #2. Mladen Primorac (210-C-90, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to Tajfun's victory against the league outsider Polzela (0-6) 90-82 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. Primorac had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 12 rebounds in 20 minutes. KK Tajfun Sentjur (3-3) is placed seventh in the Telemach League. Primorac belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #6 with 6.7rpg. This year his other stats are: 11.7ppg in the six games.

   #3. Pankracije Barac (196-G-81, agency: Court Side, currently plays in EuroChallenge), who plays in Romania could not help Pitesti (0-4) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Barac's very good performance Pitesti (#4) was defeated 78-73 at home by the higher-ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#3) in the group E of EuroChallenge. He was the second best scorer with 20 points. Barac also added 4 boards, passed 3 assists and added 4 steals. There are only two games left until the end of the EuroChallenge Regular Season. Barac has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.3ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.3apg and 1.8spg.

   #4. Marco Buljevic (197-G-87, also represented by Court Side, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German ProA (second division) was not able to help ETB Wohnbau (4-7) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Buljevic's very good performance ETB Wohnbau was defeated 86-79 on their home court in Essen by the much higher-ranked SC Rasta Vechta (#5). He was the top scorer with 22 points. Buljevic also added 4 rebounds. Buljevic averaged so far 11.1ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.6apg. He has a dual citizenship: Croatian and German. Despite Buljevic's Croatian passport, he previously played for the German U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Croatian team.

   #5. Anthony Drmic (198-G/F-92, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Univ. of California-Santa Barbara 72-56 in the NCAA in Saturday night's game. Drmic recorded 16 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists (made all of his six free throws) in 30 minutes. The Boise State University has conference record this season. Drmic averaged so far 11.1ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.6apg in the 11 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Croatian and Australian.

   #6. Vjeran Soldo (208-F/C-84, currently plays in Slovenia), who plays in the Slovenian Telemach League was not able to secure a victory for LTHcast Mercator (2-4) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Soldo's good performance LTHcast Mercator was defeated 85-80 on the road by the second-ranked Zlatorog. He scored 10 points. Soldo has averaged so far 6.3ppg and 2.5rpg.

   #7. Drazen Klaric (204-F-80, currently plays in Sweden), who plays in the Swedish Basketligan couldn't help KFUM Jamtland in their last game. Despite his good performance KFUM Jamtland lost 75-79 in Stockholm to the lower-ranked (#7) 08 Stockholm. Klaric recorded 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 31 minutes. Klaric has very impressive stats this year: 15.5ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.1apg in the 13 games.

   #8. Marin Petric (190-G-80, currently plays in Germany) managed to help Duesseldorf Baskets to win against the tenth-ranked Finke Baskets 87-78 in the German ProA (second division) last Saturday. He scored 5 points and added 5 assists. Petric averaged so far 10.1ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.9apg. He has both Croatian and German nationalities.

   #9. Experienced Milos Paravinja (212-C/F-79, currently plays in Slovenia) couldn't help Geoplin Slovan in their game against Helios in the Slovenian Telemach League. Paravinja scored 5 points in 11 minutes. His team lost 63-75. Paravinja has averaged so far 6.3ppg and 2.0rpg in the six games. He also holds two passports: Croatian and Slovenian.

   #10. Milan Stegnjaic (204-F/C-81, currently plays in Austria) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams UBSC Graz in their game against Furstenfeld Panthers in the Austrian A Bundesliga. Despite his very good performance in Monday night's game Stegnjaic scored 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Stegnjaic belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #7. This season he has very high stats. Stegnjaic averages: 15.4ppg and 7.0rpg.

Jazine Arbanasi and Ribola Kastela both took antoher step towards promotion to A1 League with a road wins in Round 15 of the Croatian A2 League Championship Stage Graficar-Jazine Arbanasi 79-118: Jazine opened the game with eight straight points and later made a 15-5 run to close out the first quarter with a 30-13 lead. Scottie Reynolds (188-PG-87, college: Villanova) knocked down crucial back-to-back 3-pointers in less than a half of minute to close out the Finals Game 2 as Cibona defeated Cedvita 91-85 to tie the series at one apiece. Cedevita rallied from a 14-point fourth quarter deficit to beat Cibona 79-73 in Game 1 of the best-of-the five 2017 Croatian A1 League Finals. Filip Kruslin (198-SG-89) scored 18 points, Ryan Boatright (183-PG-92, college: Connecticut) came off the bench for 17 points, Miro Bilan (213-C-89) had 14 points and 14 rebounds and Mirza Begic (216-C-85) grabbed 10 rebounds off the bench.
