Guard Robert Lez (192-G-79) had a great game in the last round for Zabok, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (23 pointsfive assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Darda (4-5) with 22-point margin 90-68. Zabok is placed at 6th position in Croatian A1. Zabok is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. In the team's last game Lez had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He has many years of experience at Zabok, through which he has constantly improved. Robert Lez has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.0ppg) and averages impressive 59.6% FGP and 49.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old Ante Krapic (205-F-85) of league's second-best KK Zagreb. Krapic had a very good evening with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as KK Zagreb lost that game 74-87 to slightly lower-ranked Jolly (#3, 6-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. KK Zagreb still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 7-2 record is not bad at all. Krapic is a newcomer at KK Zagreb, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Bosnia and Herzegovina center Mato Peraica (203-C-81) of Darda (#5). Peraica scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds. Despite Peraica's great performance Darda lost 68-90 to Zabok (4-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Darda ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 5 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Peraica could help Darda to bring them higher in the standings. Peraica has a great season in Croatia. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.2ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 6.1rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ronald Ross (188-G-83) of Jolly - 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Nikola Gaurina (199-G-83) of Alkar Sinj - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Jure Skific (202-F/C-88) of Kvarner 2010 - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Mate Mrva (195-F-83) of Jolly - 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Bruno Sundov (221-C-80) of Osjecki Sokol - 18 points and 6 rebounds
9. Dino Butorac (192-G-90) of Jolly - 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Mario Pesut (184-G-90) of Zabok - 9 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
