In the rematch of the 2012 Croatian Play-Off Finals, defending champion Gospic outscored Sibenik Jolly every quarter to hand them the first loss of the season, 63-40. In the second delayed game of Round 9, Zadar beat Tresnjevka, 70-58.
Sibenik Jolly-Gospic 40-63: Emanuela Salopek (178-SG-87) led Gospic with 19 points and Monika Bosilj added 12, while Antonija Miusra posted team-high 14 points for Sibenika and Luca Ivankovic had 11 points.
Zadar-Tresnjevka 70-58: After trailing 34-35 in the second quarter, Zadar made a 13-0 run spannig halftime to go ahead 47-35 and never looked back from there. Tresnjevka cut the deficit to 54-55 early in the final quarter, but Zadar responded with 6 straight points and Antonija Erslan hit 3-pointers to put Zadar up 66-57. Davorka Balic came off the bench for 22 points, Antonija Erslan added 16, Zana Cvjetkovic 15 and Lara Nikpalj 10. Tresnjevka missed all 11 of its 3-points attempts. Marijana Mamic and Anja Skara both scored 16 points and Iva Slonjsek 10.

Studenac-Omis advanced to A1 League for the 2016/2017 season - May 18, 2016

Studenac-Omis advanced to A1 League for the 2016/2017 season as they won the Second Stage of the A2 play-offs. In the last game the team overcame Plamen Pozega 108:37 to finish on top with a 4-2 record. Studenac-Omis erupted with a 35-13 surge in the opening period and never looked behind in the game. Katarina Puljic (171-G-92) top-scored for the winners with 29 points, while Mate Kalajzic added 19. Marta Hrastic and Danijela Bukovcan replied with 9 points each in a loss.   [read more]
