Ratiopharm Ulm will play in the EuroCup Last 16. They knocked down Cibona in Zagreb and capitalized on the loss of Cholet against Spartak SP to reach the next stage of the tournament. Steven Esterkamp (198-F-81, agency: Limelight Hoops, college: Ohio) chipped in 15 points to pace the winners.
Cibona exploded with 27 points in the opening quarter to surge ahead. The Croatian team accounted for a 4-point lead at the first break. Cibona kept Ulm at bay throughout the second term. The hosts arrived at the big break up by 11 points 48:37. Cibona stayed in charge throughout the third stanza. The Croats piled up a 14-point advantage heading into the fourth frame. But Ratiopharm Ulm did not surrender. The German side went on a massive 29:10 surge in the final quarter to seal a crucial win at the end. John Bryant (208-C-87, college: Santa Clara), Lance Jeter (190-G-88, college: Nebraska) and Allan Ray (188-G-84, college: Villanova) provided 12 points each for the winners. Tomislav Zubcic (208-C/F-90, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 21 points for Cibona. Davor Kus (192-G-78, agency: Interperformances) had 20 points in defeat.

Cibona led by as many as 17 points early in the fourth quarter and defeated reigning champion Cedevita 72-67 in Finals Game 3 to grab a 2-1 lead in the best-of-the-five series. Zeljko Sakic (204-F-88) scored 25 points on shooting 9-of-13 from the field including 4-of-5 behind the 3-point line and grabbed 10 rebounds, Marin Rozic (201-F-83) added 15 points and Luka Zoric (211-C-84) 11.
