26-year old center Sena Pavetic (197-C-86) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Novi Zagreb and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9.
She had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Agram ZG (#12, 0-9) with 29-point margin 86-57. It allowed Novi Zagreb to consolidate first place in the Croatian A1. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Novi Zagreb keeps perfect 9 -0 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Pavetic as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Sena Pavetic averages this season 10.9ppg and 6.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Iva Meznaric (186-SG-86) of Agram ZG. She is a guard in her first season at Agram ZG. In the last game Meznaric recorded impressive double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Agram ZG lost that game 57-86 to league's leader Novi Zagreb (#1, 9-0). Agram ZG are still at the very bottom. 9 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Meznaric is a newcomer at Agram ZG and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.8ppg (#3). She also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Ivona Matic (188-F/C-86) of Ragusa (#10). Matic scored 16 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Matic's great performance Ragusa lost 52-69 to the higher-ranked Medvescak (#4, 7-2). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Ragusa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-7 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Matic she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. Matic has individually a great season in Croatia. After only 9 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.8ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 9.6rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ana-Marija Begic (190-C-94) of Medvescak - 18 points and 10 rebounds
5. Luca Ivankovic (207-C-87) of Jolly - 11 points and 12 rebounds
6. Tea Buzov (176-G-90) of Split - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Josipa Zovko (186-F-90) of Split - 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Martina Gambiraza (176-G-82) of Pleter - 14 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Davorka Balic (188-F-88) of Zadar - 22 points and 5 rebounds
10. Marijana Mamic (175-G-93) of Tresnjevka - 16 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
