Split-Pleter 79-95: After trailing 12-14, Pleter made a 19-6 run spanning first and seconds quarters to take a lead 31-20 and never looked back from there. #1. This week's number one is U20 international shooting guard Iva Slonjsak (183-97, currently plays in MZRKL). She led her Slovenian team Athlete Celje to an easy victory against the league outsider Badel (0-5) crushing them 104-50 in the WABA in Wednesday night's game.
Slonjsak recorded 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in 27 minutes on the court.
ZKK Athlete Celje (5-1) is placed sixth in the WABA.
It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row.
There are only two games left until the end of the WABA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
This year Slonjsak averages: 5.7ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.5apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 34.8%, 3FGP: 27.8% and FT: 75.0% in six games she played so far.
She is currently a member of the Croatian U20 national team.
#2. Second place goes to former U18 international center Andrea Maric (195-97, currently plays in MZRKL) is a teammate of previously mentioned Iva Slonjsak and both played together in the last WABA game.
Maric led her Slovenian team Athlete Celje to an easy victory against the league outsider Badel (0-5) crushing them 104-50.
She recorded 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
Maric's overall stats this season are: 6.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 2FGP: 62.1%(18-29) and FT: 66.7%.
She played for the Croatian U18 national team in 2014.
#3. The Croatian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Mirna Mazic (188-85, agency: 1x1 Sports, college: Richmond, currently plays in EuroCup). Mazic led her Turkish team Abdullah Gul to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked PINKK-Pecsi (0-4) crushing them 84-62 in the Eurocup on Wednesday night.
She recorded 12 points in 24 minutes.
Abdullah Gul University Kayseri (4-0) is placed first in group B.
So far her team won all four games in the Regular Season.
There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
This year Mazic's overall stats are: 5.5ppg, 4.8rpg, 2FGP: 43.8% and FT: 53.3% in four games.
She played for the Croatian national team one years ago.
#4. Guard Ivana Seric (170-88, college: NJIT, currently plays in MZRKL) led her Serbian team ZKK Kraljevo to a victory over the closely-ranked Play Off (2-2) 78-72 in the WABA in Wednesday night's game.
Seric was MVP of the game. She recorded 18 points, 3 assists and 3 steals.
ZKK Kraljevo (1-5) is placed fifth in the WABA.
They ended the series of five consecutive loses.
There are only two games left until the end of the WABA Regular Season. So now every game will be important.
Seric's total stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 1.4rpg, 3.0apg and 1.2spg.

#5. International guard Carmen Miloglav (170-91, college: FIU, currently plays in Euroleague) managed to help Perfumerias Avenida Salamanca in a victory against the seventh-ranked CCC Polkowice (0-4) crushing them 81-60 in the Euroleague last Wednesday.
Miloglav recorded only 4 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 20 minutes. It was her first game for Perfumerias Avenida this season.
Her team is placed second in the Euroleague.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
It's Miloglav's first year with the team.

#6. An experienced center Emilija Podrug (190-79, currently plays in France) was the major contributor in Toulouse's victory against the closely-ranked SIG (4-5) 71-65 in the French LF2 (second division) in Saturday night's game.
Podrug scored 19 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 30 minutes.
Toulouse Metropole Basket (5-4) is placed sixth in the LF2.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
Podrug has relatively good stats this year: 11.7ppg, 5.8rpg and 2.7apg in nine games.
She is a former international player as she played for the Croatian senior team six years ago.
#7. International forward Antonija Sandric (181-88, also represented by 1x1 Sports, currently plays in EuroCup) was the main contributor in Samsun's victory against the closely-ranked Dynamo NR (1-3) 63-55 in the Eurocup last Thursday.
Sandric was the best player in that game. She recorded 20 points, 4 assists and 3 steals.
Canik Belediyesi Samsun (1-3) is placed fourth in group C.
It was her team's first victory after three consecutive loses.
There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important.
It's Sandric's first season with the team.
Sandric's total stats this year are: 7.8ppg, 1.7rpg, 3.2apg and 1.8spg.
She is also Croatian national team player.
#8. Center Lorena Molnar (192-98, currently plays in MZRKL) is a teammate of previously mentioned Iva Slonjsak. She played also in the last WABA game facing Andrea Maric (above) in the other team.
Molnar contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Badel (0-5) crushing them 104-50.
She recorded 6 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists in 16 minutes.
This year Molnar's total stats are: 4.0ppg, 5.5rpg and 2.5apg in two games.
She plays currently for the Croatian U18 national team.
#9. International center Iva Cuzic-Sliskovic (190-84, college: S.Carolina, currently plays in France) could not help Angers (2-7) in their last game on Friday. Despite Cuzic-Sliskovic's very good performance Angers was crushed 74-53 at home by the league outsider Tarbes (#12).
She was the top scorer with 19 points. Cuzic-Sliskovic also added 6 rebounds.
This season Cuzic-Sliskovic has relatively solid stats: 11.3ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.6apg and 1.1spg.

#10. Guard Shavonte Zellous (178-86, college: Pittsburgh, currently plays in Turkey) contributed to Besiktas' victory against the 11th-ranked Osmaniye (2-4) 80-74 in the Turkish KBSL last Saturday.
Zellous scored 19 points and added 3 passes in 38 minutes.
Besiktas CT Istanbul (7-2) is placed fourth in the KBSL.
But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen.
Zellous has reliable stats this year: 13.5ppg, 5.2rpg and 2.8apg in six games.
She is a naturalized American.
Zellous is an international player who is currently on the senior Croatian National Team roster.
Strangely she has never played in Croatia.
#11. International center Marija Rezan (198-89, currently plays in Poland) contributed to a CCC Polkowice's victory against the closely-ranked TS Ostrovia 86-72 in the Polish TBLK on Saturday night.
Rezan was the top player that evening. She recorded 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Rezan is currently third on the league's list of best blockers.
She has averaged so far 8.5ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.7bpg.
Rezan plays currently for the Croatian national team.
#12. International shooting guard Ivana Dojkic (180-97, currently plays in EuroCup) was not able to help Spartak Vidnoye (1-3) in their last game. Despite her good performance the third-placed Spartak Vidnoye lost 50-63 on the road to the leading Maccabi Ashdod in the group A of Eurocup.
Dojkic was the second best scorer with 11 points in only a mere 14 minutes.
She averaged so far 11.3ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.0apg and 1.8spg in four games.
Dojkic is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.
#13. International power forward Nina Premasunac (186-92, agency: LBM Management, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for La Spezia in their game against Battipaglia in the Italian Serie A1. Despite her very good performance last Sunday She was the second best scorer with 13 points. Premasunac also added 7 rebounds.
Premasunac belongs to league's best rebounders (ranked #3) and also on the list of best blockers (second place).
She has very reliable stats this season: 14.8ppg, 10.2rpg and 1.9spg.
Premasunac is also Croatian national team player.
#14. International center Ivana Tikvic (189-94, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Torino in their game against Vigarano in the Italian Serie A1.
Tikvic scored 6 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Her team was edged 67-65.
Tikvic has averaged so far 7.9ppg and 7.2rpg.
She plays currently for the Croatian national team.
#15. Former U18 international guard Martina Tomic (176-92, currently plays in Slovenia) helped Janina win their game against the league outsider Domzale 52-45 in the Slovenian SKL last Saturday.
Tomic was the top player that evening. She scored 15 points in 34 minutes.
Tomic is currently eighth on the list of top scorers with 13.3ppg.
This year she also averages: 3.0rpg and 1.9spg in seven games.

#1. Experienced Suzy Batkovic-Brown (195-C-80, currently plays in Australia) could not help Townsville Fire (6-7) in their last game on Friday. Despite Batkovic-Brown's very good performance Townsville Fire was defeated 80-73 on the road by the second-ranked Perth Lynx.
She recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 13 rebounds. Batkovic-Brown also added 3 assists.
Batkovic-Brown is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her fourth year in Townsville Fire's roster.
She has individually a very good season with high stats. Batkovic-Brown averages: 19.0ppg, 9.8rpg, 2.5apg, 1.5bpg and 1.3spg.
She has a dual citizenship: Croatian and Australian.
#2.Dubravka Dacic (201-C-85, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Al-Qazeres in their game against Gran Canaria (2-9) in the Spanish LFB.
She scored 6 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 36 minutes.
Al-Qazeres lost 66-74 in Las Palmas to the league outsider (#14) Gran Canaria.
It was Al-Qazeres' third consecutive loss in a row.
Dacic has averaged so far 9.0ppg and 7.5rpg in 11 games she played so far.
She is another player who holds two passports: Croatian and Italian.
#3.Iva Serdar (195-C-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to Janina's victory against the league outsider Domzale (0-8) 52-45 in the Slovenian SKL last Saturday.
She scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
ZKD Janina (2-5) is placed seventh in the SKL.
It was her team's first victory after three consecutive loses.
Serdar is ranked third on the list of the best rebounders in the league.
This season she has very good stats: 10.3ppg, 9.7rpg and 1.4apg.
#4.Martina Bozikov (189-PF-84, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for ChemCats Chemnitz (9-4) in their game against TSV 1880 Wasserburg (10-1) in the German DBBL. Bozikov cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones.
She scored only 2 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
ChemCats Chemnitz was crushed 99-46 in Wasserburg by the leading TSV 1880.
Bozikov has averaged so far 4.0ppg and 5.0rpg.
#5.Iva Bosnjak (174-G/F-1, currently plays in Switzerland) couldn't help Winterthur (5-3) in their game against BBC Les Portes du Soleil Troistorrents (2-6) in the Swiss LNA. She cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones.
Bosnjak scored only 3 points in 12 minutes.
Winterthur lost 68-76 at home to the one of league's weakest teams (#8) BBC Les Portes du Soleil Troistorrents.
It was Winterthur's first loss after four consecutive victories.
Bosnjak has averaged so far 2.7ppg and 1.2rpg in six games.

Center Josipa Pavic (187-C-99) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Tresnjevka, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. The 17-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 21 rebounds, while her team crushed Sibenik (#8, 3-5) with 23-point margin 92-69. Tresnjevka maintains the 2nd position in Croatian A1. Center Josipa Pavic (187-C-99) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Tresnjevka, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. The 17-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 21 rebounds, while her team crushed Sibenik (#8, 3-5) with 23-point margin 92-69. Tresnjevka maintains the 2nd position in Croatian A1. They are still close to the very top. Tresnjevka would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-1 record. Pavic turned to be Tresnjevka's top player in her first season with the team. Josipa Pavic has solid league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 11.6rpg) and averages impressive 60.0% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 23-year old Marijana Mamic (186-F-93) of Croatia 2006. Mamic had a very good evening with a double-double of 14 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Croatia 2006 lost that game 68-76 to slightly higher-ranked Split (#9, 3-6). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Croatia 2006 keeps 10th position. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Croatia 2006 managed to get this year. Mamic is well-known at Croatia 2006 and is a proven leader in her second season with the team. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.0ppg (#9). Her other stats are also decent: 15.9rpg and 3.8apg.
Third on the list of top players last round was Anja Majstorovic (184-SF-94) of league's top team Medvescak. Majstorovic scored 21 points. She was a key player of Medvescak, leading her team to a 92-56 easy win against the lower-ranked Pula C.Tours (#6, 4-4). Medvescak have amazing season winning all 8 games without a single defeat. Majstorovic turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Majstorovic has a great season in Croatia. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.7ppg (7th best).
