Former international guard Sandra Mandir (177-G-77) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Novi Zagreb, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 35-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, seven rebounds and seven assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Jolly (#3, 8-2) with 37-point margin 95-58. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Novi Zagreb to consolidate first place in the Croatian A1. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Novi Zagreb keeps perfect 10 -0 record. Mandir turned to be Novi Zagreb's top player in her first season with the team. Sandra Mandir has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.0ppg) and averages impressive 72.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old former international power forward Ivona Matic (188-F/C-86) of Ragusa. Matic had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Ragusa lost that game 51-57 to the higher-ranked Tresnjevka (#6, 5-5). Ragusa is still second from the bottom in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Ragusa managed to get this year. Matic is a newcomer at Ragusa, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.0ppg (#4). She also registered 10.1 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Mia Masic (179-F-93) of Pleter (#7). Masic scored 28 points. She was a key player of Pleter, leading her team to a 95-79 easy win against Split (4-6). The chances of Pleter ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Masic could help Pleter to bring them higher in the standings. Masic has a very solid season. In 10 games in Croatia she scored 9.9ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mirna Mazic (188-F-85) of Novi Zagreb - 12 points and 16 rebounds
5. Antonija Misura (178-F-88) of Jolly - 26 points and 3 rebounds
6. Ana-Marija Begic (190-C-94) of Medvescak - 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Nina Premasunac (186-F-92) of Medvescak - 13 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Ivana Jurcevic (174-G-81) of Gospic - 22 points
9. Ivana Tikvic (189-C-94) of Medvescak - 13 points and 10 rebounds
10. Katarina Mrcela (190-F/C-75) of Pleter - 15 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
