Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Croatians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Ante Tomic (217-87, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. He could not help Regal FC Barcelona (7-5) in their last game. Despite Tomic's very good performance Regal FC Barcelona lost 69-81 on the road to the higher-ranked (#4) G.Canaria 2014. He had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 12 rebounds. Tomic also added 3 assists and 2 blocks in 28 minutes on the court. It's Tomic's first season with the team. Tomic is currently fourth on the list of best rebounders with 6.9rpg. He also averaged so far 13.0ppg, 1.5apg, 2FGP: 60.2%(68-113) and FT: 71.4% in the 12 games he played so far. Tomic played for the Croatian senior national team one years ago.

Mario Delas

   #2. Second place goes to former international power forward Mario Delas (207-90, currently plays in Euroleague). He was the major contributor in Zalgiris' victory against the fourth-ranked Anadolu Efes 71-53 in the Euroleague last Friday. Delas recorded 10 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. B.C. Zalgiris Kaunasis placed first in group E. This season Delas averages: 1.9ppg, 1.8rpg, 2FGP: 38.1%. He played for the Croatian national team in 2009.

   #3. The Croatian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Marko Popovic (185-82, college: S.Idaho JC, currently plays in VTB United League) is a teammate of previously mentioned Mario Delas. But that was another game of his team in VTB United League which we would like to mention. Popovic led his Lithuanian team Zalgiris to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked BC Nizhny Novgorod (4-5) 76-58. He scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 29 minutes. B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (7-1) is placed second in group B. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Popovic's overall stats are: 7.0ppg, 1.7rpg, 2.7apg, 3FGP: 28.1% and FT: 83.3% in the seven games. He played for the Croatian national team one years ago.

   #4. Forward Kresimir Loncar (210-83, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in VTB United League) led his Russian team Khimky to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Azovmash (2-7) 91-73 in the VTB United League in Monday night's game. Loncar scored 13 points. BC Khimky Moscow Region (7-2) is placed first in group A. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Loncar's total stats this season are: 8.3ppg and 2.4rpg. He used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2010.

   #5. Former U20 international center Leon Radosevic (206-90, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Lithuania was not able to help Lietuvos rytas in their last game. Despite Radosevic's good performance Lietuvos rytas was edged 66-65 in Istanbul by the lower-ranked (#7) Besiktas. He had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds. Radosevic also added 3 assists and 3 blocks in 33 minutes. This year Radosevic's total stats are: 9.8ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.1apg in the 10 games. He used to play for the Croatian U20 national team two years ago.

   #6. Point guard Dontaye Draper (180-84, college: Charleston, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked Un.Olimpija crushing them 91-60 in the Euroleague on Thursday night. Draper recorded 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Real Madridis placed third in group E. Draper has averaged so far 3.0ppg, 1.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.4spg. He is a naturalized American. Draper is international player as he played for the Croatian senior team one years ago. He used to play for Cedevita Zagreb in Croatian league.

   #7. Former international swingman Mario Stojic (198-80, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Belgium) led Base Oostende to a 1-point victory over the closely-ranked Liege Basket (4-5) 86-85 in the Belgian Ethias League in Saturday night's game. Stojic was MVP of the game. He scored 22 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 33 minutes. Telenet Oostende (5-4) is placed fourth in the Ethias League. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Stojic has relatively good stats this year: 13.0ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.5apg in the eight games. He used to play for the Croatian national team three years ago.

Luka Zoric

   #8. Center Luka Zoric (211-84, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Chalon/Saor crushing them 86-62 in the Euroleague last Thursday. Zoric recorded 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Unicaja Malagais placed sixth in group E. This season Zoric has relatively solid stats: 10.5ppg and 4.5rpg. He plays currently for the Croatian national team.

Damjan Rudez

   #9. International forward Damjan Rudez (208-86, currently plays in Spain) led CAI Zaragoza to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked Unicaja Malaga (6-6) 82-64 in the Spanish ACB in Saturday night's game. He scored 11 points and added 3 passes. CAI Zaragoza (8-4) is placed fifth in the ACB. Rudez has averaged so far 10.0ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.1apg. He is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.

   #10. Power forward Sime Spralja (206-83, agency: Court Side, currently plays in Eurocup), who plays in Poland was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Trefl Sopot in their last game. Despite Spralja's good performance Trefl Sopot was badly defeated 87-70 at home by the higher-ranked (#3) Lokomotiv. He was the top scorer with 14 points. Spralja also added 6 rebounds in 26 minutes. Spralja has averaged so far 8.8ppg and 3.2rpg in the six games. He is a former international player as eight years ago he still played for the Croatian senior national team.

   #11. International swingman Krunoslav Simon (197-85, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Luka Zoric. He played also in the last Spanish ACB game facing Damjan Rudez (above) in the other team. Simon couldn't help Unicaja Malaga in their game against CAI Zaragoza. He scored 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. His team was badly defeated by 18 points 82-64. Simon has reliable stats this season: 10.8ppg, 3.5rpg and 2.1apg. He plays currently for the Croatian national team.

   #12. Former U20 international forward Drazen Bubnic (206-86, currently plays in Adriatic League) contributed to a triple overtime (!!!) Un.Olimpija's victory against the closely-ranked Buducnost 95-92 in the Adriatic League in Monday night's game. Bubnic recorded 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 24 minutes. Bubnic has averaged so far 3.3ppg and 1.8rpg in the 13 games. He used to play for the Croatian U20 national team back in 2006.

   #13. Former U20 international center Jure Lalic (210-86, currently plays in Adriatic League), who plays in Slovenia couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Krka (5-8) in their last game. Despite his good performance Krka lost 88-92 in Skopje to the higher-ranked (#8) MZT Skopje. Lalic recorded 13 points in a mere 19 minutes. His stats this year are: 10.9ppg and 3.5rpg in the 13 games. Lalic used to play for the Croatian U20 national team six years ago.

   #14. An experienced former international power forward Tomislav Ruzic (207-79, currently plays in EuroChallenge) led his Turkish team Tofas to a 2-point victory against the closely-ranked Krka 72-70 in the EuroChallenge on Tuesday night. He scored 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Ruzic has averaged so far 8.0ppg and 5.2rpg. He used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2000.

   #15. Former international point guard Jakov Vladovic (187-83, currently plays in EuroChallenge) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jure Lalic. He played also in the last EuroChallenge game facing Tomislav Ruzic (above) in the other team. Vladovic couldn't help Krka in their game against Tofas, despite his good performance in Tuesday night's game. He was the second best scorer with 11 points in 29 minutes. But his team was edged 72-70. Vladovic averaged so far 10.7ppg, 4.8rpg, 3.5apg and 1.2spg in the six games. He used to play for the Croatian national team three years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Croatian passport but never been selected to any of Croatian national teams:

   #1. Ljubisa Vrcelj (210-C-84, college: Jacksonville, currently plays in Bulgaria) led Euroins Cherno More to a victory over the sixth-ranked Tundja Yambol (4-5) 78-74 in the Bulgarian NBL on Saturday night. Vrcelj was the best player in that game. He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 16 rebounds in 43 minutes. It was his first game for Euroins Cherno More this season. His team is placed first in the NBL. Vrcelj has a dual citizenship: Croatian and Canadian.

   #2. Anthony Drmic (198-G/F-92, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Louisiana State University 89-70 in the NCAA last Friday. Drmic scored 34 points (!!!). The Boise State University has conference record this season. Drmic has averaged so far 3.3ppg and 1.8rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Croatian and Australian.

   #3. Igor Maric (196-F-85, currently plays in Slovenia) was the major contributor in a 3-point Maribor Messer's victory against the eighth-ranked Geoplin Slovan (3-6) 72-69 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. Maric scored 15 points (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line) in 29 minutes. KK Maribor Messer (7-2) is placed first in the Telemach League. Maric's stats this year are: 11.6ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1spg in the nine games he played so far.

   #4. Pankracije Barac (196-G-81, agency: Court Side, currently plays in Romania) was the main contributor in Pitesti's victory against the sixth-ranked CSM Bucuresti (9-5) 103-88 in the Romanian Division A in Saturday night's game. He was the best player in that game. Barac recorded 30 points (!!!) and added 5 assists. BCM U Pitesti (6-7) is placed 11th in the Division A. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Barac is currently seventh on the list of top scorers. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Barac averages: 16.5ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.7apg and 1.6spg.

   #5. Vjeran Soldo (208-F/C-84, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to a LTHcast Mercator's victory against the closely-ranked Grosuplje (2-7) 85-71 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. Soldo scored 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. TTHcast Mercator Skofja Loka (4-5) is placed sixth in the Telemach League. Soldo has averaged so far 7.3ppg and 2.8rpg.

   #6. Mladen Primorac (210-C-90, currently plays in Slovenia) helped Tajfun win their game against the closely-ranked Rogaska 88-69 in the Slovenian Telemach League in Saturday night's game. He was the best player in that game. Primorac scored 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes. Primorac is currently seventh on the league's list of best rebounders with 7.0rpg. He also averaged so far 13.7ppg in the nine games.

   #7. Experienced Milos Paravinja (212-C/F-79, currently plays in Slovenia) faced previously mentioned Igor Maric in the Slovenian Telemach League last game. Paravinja, who plays in the Slovenian Telemach League could not help Geoplin Slovan (3-6) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Geoplin Slovan was edged 72-69 at home by the leading Maribor Messer. Paravinja was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 5 rebounds. Paravinja has averaged so far 9.1ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.3apg. He has both Croatian and Slovenian nationalities.

   #8. Marin Petric (190-G-80, currently plays in Germany) helped Duesseldorf Baskets win their game against the sixth-ranked Science City Jena 84-73 in the German ProA (second division) in Sunday night's game. Petric scored 14 points and added 6 passes in 26 minutes. He averaged so far 10.6ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.1apg in the 14 games. Petric also holds two passports: Croatian and German.

   #9. Kristijan Krajina (206-F-90, currently studies in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to help the Mt.St.Mary's in their last game. Despite his good performance the Mt.St.Mary's was crushed 79-57 on the road by the Loyola College. Krajina recorded 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a mere 15 minutes. He averaged so far 10.6ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.1apg in the 14 games.

   #10. Milan Stegnjaic (204-F/C-81, currently plays in Austria) was not able to secure a victory for UBSC Graz in their game against Kapfenberg Bulls in the Austrian A Bundesliga. Despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game Stegnjaic was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 6 rebounds. Stegnjaic is ranked seventh on the list of the best rebounders in the league. This season he has very high stats. Stegnjaic averages: 16.2ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.1spg.

Vrijednosnice Osijek strengthened its roster for the 2016-17 season by inking Domagoj Vukovic(208-F/C-93) on a one-year contract. Vukovic arrives from Zabok, where he averaged 11.3 pointzs, 5.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.7 blocks in 30 Croatian A1 League games last season. Newly promoted Hermes Analitica inked Stipe Cubric (182-PG-93) for the upcoming season. Cubric arrives from Bosco, from whom he averaged 20.6 points (ranked second) in 21 Croatian A2 Central League games last season. Cubric now comes back to the Croatian A1 League for the first time since 2010-11 season when he played with Dobrava. Defending champion KK Cedevita Zagreb (A1) agreed terms with 18-year old power forward Lovro Buljevic (208-98). He played last season at H.Analitica in Croatian A2 league. He also spent pre-season at Gorica that year. Buljevic was also tried-out by Cibona. He represented Croatia at the European Championships U18 in Volos (Greece) last year.
