Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Croatians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Luka Zoric (211-84, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. He could not help Unicaja Malaga (8-7) in their last game. Despite Zoric's very good performance Unicaja Malaga was badly defeated 82-64 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#3) Valencia Basket. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Zoric also added 5 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 30 minutes on the court. Zoric is ranked fourth on the list of the best blockers in the league with 1.1bpg. He also averaged so far 9.9ppg, 4.5rpg, 2FGP: 54.8% and FT: 74.2% in the 15 games he played so far. Zoric is currently a member of the Croatian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international center Ante Tomic (217-87, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his Spanish team Regal FC Barcelona to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (0-1) crushing them 100-78 in the Euroleague last Friday. Tomic recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 5 assists and 3 blocks. Regal FC Barcelona (1-0) is placed first in group F. Tomic belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #2. This season he averages: 8.9ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.8apg, 1.7bpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 59.2%(42-71). Tomic played for the Croatian national team in 2011.

   #3. The Croatian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Darko Planinic (211-90, currently plays in Israel). He led Maccabi T-A to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-7) crushing them 113-85 in the Israeli Winner League on Sunday night. Planinic scored 17 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in a mere 17 minutes. It was his first game for Maccabi T-A this season. His team is placed first in the Winner League. It was Maccabi's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Planinic is also a member of the Croatian senior national team.

   #4. Forward Damjan Rudez (208-86, currently plays in Spain) led CAI Zaragoza to a victory over the closely-ranked Gescrap BB (10-5) 81-74 in the Spanish ACB in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Rudez scored 24 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. CAI Zaragoza (9-6) is placed sixth in the ACB. Rudez has relatively good stats this season: 11.4ppg and 1.9rpg. He is also Croatian national team player.

Mario Delas

   #5. Former international power forward Mario Delas (207-90, currently plays in Lithuania) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Sakalai (3-8) 85-67 in the Lithuanian LKL last Sunday. Delas recorded 6 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in 25 minutes. B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (6-0) is placed third in the LKL. So far his team won all six games in the Regular Season. It's Delas' first season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 8.2ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2spg in the six games. Delas used to play for the Croatian national team four years ago.

   #6. Guard Marko Popovic (185-82, agency: Alti Sport, college: S.Idaho JC, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Mario Delas. But that was another game of his team in Euroleague which we would like to mention. Popovic was not able to help Zalgiris (0-1) in their game against Panathinaikos (1-0). He recorded 6 points. The fifth-placed Zalgiris was edged 67-66 in Athens by the leading Panathinaikos in the group E of Euroleague. This season Popovic has relatively solid stats: 13.4ppg, 1.5rpg and 1.8apg. He is a former international player as he played for the Croatian senior team two years ago.

   #7. Former international forward Kresimir Loncar (210-83, also represented by Alti Sport, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to Khimky's victory against the seventh-ranked Besiktas (0-1) 80-75 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. Loncar recorded 8 points in 21 minutes. BC Khimky Moscow Region (1-0) is placed fourth in group F. This year Loncar's total stats are: 8.4ppg and 4.5rpg in the 11 games. He used to play for the Croatian national team three years ago.

   #8. Power forward Sime Spralja (206-83, agency: Court Side, currently plays in Poland) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked AZS Koszalin (8-6) crushing them 80-57 in the Polish TBL last Saturday. Spralja scored 11 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Trefl Sopot (10-4) is placed second in the TBL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Spralja has reliable stats this season: 10.1ppg and 2.4rpg. He used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2004.

   #9. International point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-84, currently plays in Euroleague) faced previously mentioned Marko Popovic in the Euroleague last game. Ukic managed to help Panathinaikos Athens in a 1-point victoryagainst the fifth-ranked Zalgiris (0-1) 67-66. He recorded only 2 points and added 8 assists in 21 minutes. Ukic has averaged so far 9.3ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.2apg in the 10 games. He is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.

   #10. Power forward Drago Pasalic (208-84, currently plays in Turkey) was the major contributor in a Turk Telekom's victory against the league outsider Hacettepe (2-11) 80-75 in a derby game in the Turkish TBL in Sunday night's game. Pasalic recorded 13 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Turk Telekom Ankara (4-9) is placed 13th in the TBL. They ended the series of four consecutive loses. Pasalic's stats this season are: 11.5ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.5apg. He is a former international player as four years ago he still played for the Croatian senior national team.

   #11. Former international forward Hrvoje Peric (203-85, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian SerieA was not able to secure a victory for Vanoli Cremona (4-9) in their last game. Despite Peric's very good performance Vanoli Cremona lost 84-94 in Varese to the leading Cimberio. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Peric also added 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 35 minutes. Peric's stats this year are: 10.4ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.5apg in the eight games. He used to play for the Croatian national team six years ago.

   #12. Former international point guard Dontaye Draper (180-84, college: Charleston, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Real Madrid in their game against Regal FC Barcelona in the Spanish ACB. Draper cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points and added 3 assists. His team was defeated 96-89. Draper has averaged so far 3.9ppg and 1.8apg. He is a naturalized American. Draper used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2011. He played also for Cedevita Zagreb in Croatian league.

   #13. An experienced former international center Jurica Zuza (207-78, another player represented by Alti Sport, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TB2L (second division) couldn't help Trabzonspor (9-6) in their last game. Despite Zuza's very good performance Trabzonspor lost 62-73 at home to the second-ranked Usak. He had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 11 rebounds in 31 minutes. Zuza averaged so far 14.9ppg and 5.1rpg in the 15 games. He used to play for the Croatian national team nine years ago.

   #14. Former international center Dalibor Bagaric (217-80, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group, currently plays in Lebanon) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Antranik crushing them 103-82 in the Lebanese Division A last Thursday. Bagaric recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added 3 blocks. Bagaric has averaged so far 8.0ppg, 14.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.7bpg. He used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2005.

   #15. International swingman Krunoslav Simon (197-85, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Luka Zoric and both played together in the last Spanish ACB game. Simon couldn't help Unicaja Malaga in their game against Valencia Basket. He scored only 4 points in 9 minutes on the court. His team was badly defeated by 18 points 82-64. Simon averaged so far 10.1ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.9apg in the 15 games. He is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.


The list of other players, who all have Croatian passport but never been selected to any of Croatian national teams:

   #1. Milan Stegnjaic (204-F/C-81, currently plays in Austria) led UBSC Graz to a victory over one of league's weakest teams St.Polten (2-12) 90-82 in the Austrian A Bundesliga last Sunday. Stegnjaic was the best player in that game. He scored 31 points (!!!) and grabbed 7 rebounds in 33 minutes. UBSC Raiffeisen Graz (6-8) is placed eighth in the A Bundesliga. Stegnjaic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 16.4ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.1spg in the 14 games he played so far.

   #2. Anthony Drmic (198-G/F-92, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Corban College (2-12) crushing them 105-49 in the NCAA in Sunday night's game. Drmic scored 11 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 6 assists in a mere 18 minutes. The Boise State University has conference record this season. Drmic has very impressive stats this year: 16.4ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.1spg in the 14 games. He has a dual citizenship: Croatian and Australian.

   #3. Kristijan Krajina (206-F-90, currently studies in the States) contributed to Mt.St.Mary's' surprising victory against the University of Maryland -Baltimore County 58-55 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Krajina recorded 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 25 minutes. The Mt.Saint Mary's University, MD has conference record this season. Krajina is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Mt.St.Mary's' roster. He has very impressive stats this season: 16.4ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.1spg in the 14 games.

   #4. Sasa Jankovic (204-F-84, currently plays in Slovakia) was the major contributor in a SKP Banska Bystrica's victory against the league outsider Svit (4-15) 85-67 in the Slovakian Extraliga in Wednesday night's game. Jankovic recorded 20 points. SKP Banska Bystrica (7-11) is placed seventh in the Extraliga. Jankovic averaged so far 11.5ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.4apg.

   #5. Ante Bilobrk (203-SF-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza, currently plays in Slovakia), who plays in the Slovakian Extraliga could not help Nitra (12-7) to beat Handlova (5-11). He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Bilobrk scored only 2 points and added 3 passes. Nitra was edged 103-101 on the road by the one of league's weakest teams Handlova (#8). It was Nitra's first loss after three consecutive victories. Bilobrk has averaged so far 4.8ppg, 1.3rpg and 2.3apg.

   #6. Luka Gvozden (184-PG-93, currently plays in Austria) was not able to help St.Polten in their game against Gussing Knights in the Austrian A Bundesliga. He scored 5 points. His team was defeated 72-67. Gvozden has averaged so far 3.1ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.1apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Croatian and Austrian.

   #7. Ivica Cvitanovic (207-C-82, currently plays in Slovakia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Sasa Jankovic and both played together in the last Slovakian Extraliga game. Cvitanovic managed to help SKP Banska Bystrica in a victory against the league outsider Svit 85-67. He recorded only 2 points in 12 minutes. Cvitanovic has averaged so far 2.9ppg and 3.6rpg in the 10 games.

   #8. Toni Blazan (195-F-92, currently plays in Austria) is a teammate of previously mentioned Luka Gvozden. He played also in the last Austrian A Bundesliga game facing Milan Stegnjaic (above) in the other team. Blazan was not able to secure a victory for St.Polten in their game against UBSC Graz. He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. Blazan scored only 2 points. His team was defeated 90-82. Blazan has averaged so far 1.5ppg and 1.3rpg. He has both Croatian and Austrian nationalities.

Cedevita trailed just once and outebounded Jolly JBS 46-22 in a dominant 85-66 road victory in the Quarterfinals Game 1. Split used a 17-2 run that turn a two-point deficit into a 67-54 lead with two and a half minute remaining to beat Vrijednosnice Osijek 67-59. De Longhi Treviso Basket 2012 (Serie A2) tabbed 22-year old Croatian power forward Tomislav Gabric (204-95, agency: PEPI SPORT). He started the season at BCM U Pitesti in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 34 games he averaged 12.4ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.5apg this season. The last season Gabric played at Metalac in Serbian KLS where in 5 games he had 9.2ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.6spg.
