Ivona Matic
26-year old power forward Ivona Matic (188-F/C-86) put on an amazing game in the last round for Ragusa and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.
She had the game-high 26 points adding nine rebounds and five assists for Ragusa in her team's victory, helping them to beat Zadar (#7, 5-7) 66-52. Ragusa is placed at 10th position in Croatian A1. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 9 games and recorded just three victories. Matic turned to be Ragusa's top player in her first season with the team. Matic has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 18.2ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.0rpg) and averages solid 3.7spg.

Second best performed player last round was Ana-Marija Begic (190-C-94) of Medvescak. She is a center in her 4th season at Medvescak. In the last game Begic recorded impressive double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she lead Medvescak to another comfortable win 78-59 over the lower-ranked Rockwool Pula (#11, 3-9) being unquestionably team leader. Medvescak's 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 9-3 record is not bad at all. Begic is one of the most experienced players at Medvescak and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Antonela Anic (177-F-85) of Studenec Omis (#9). Anic scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds. She was a key player of Studenec Omis, leading her team to a 70-61 win against Agram ZG (#12, 0-12). The chances of Studenec Omis not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Anic could try to bring Studenec Omis' a little bit higher in the standings. Anic has individually a great season in Croatia. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.8rpg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Nina Premasunac (186-F-92) of Medvescak - 21 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Marta Perlic (178-SF-82) of Studenec Omis - 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Martina Dover (177-G-86) of Gospic - 18 points and 9 rebounds
7. Sandra Mandir (177-G-77) of Novi Zagreb - 11 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Leilani Mitchell (165-PG-85) of Novi Zagreb - 14 points and 9 assists
9. Ivana Dujic (170-PG-95) of Jolly - 14 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Maja Puljic (176-F-93) of Split - 11 points and 9 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
