Defending champion Gospic knocked Euroleague side Novi Zagreb from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 103-98 overtime road victory in Round 13. Novi Zagreb-Gospic 98-103 OT: Gospic overturned a 4-point defeat from the home game in October 2012. Monika Bosilj (178-G-85, college: FIU) scored 23 points on shooting 6-of-8 from the 3-point line, Emanuela Salopek had 20 points and 11 asissts, Josipa Bura collected 20 points and 8 rebounds and Chevon Keith scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. The largest lead of either teams was 9 points, Zagreb's 82-73 through the final quarter. Chevon Keith made an layup and an additional free throw to tie at 86 and send the game into overtime. After tying at 95, Gospic scored six straight points. Ana Cacic (175-G-86) hit a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 98-101. Chevon Keith made another layup for Gospic. Novi Zagreb had won the first game by 85-81, so when Ana Cacic launched a three-point attempt with a few seconds left, it would have put her team ahead in the series. Cacic's shot missed, however, so Gospic claimed the tiebreak advantage between them. Novi Zagreb outscored Gospic 53-40, but commited 18 turnovers to Gospic's just 7. Sandra Mandir finished with 20 points and 8 rebounds, Leilani Mitchell had 16 points and 6 assists, Mirna Mazic collected 14 points and 20 rebounds and Ana Caccic netted 12 points and handed out 5 assists. Studenac Omis-Jolly Sibenik 73-87: Jolly opened the game with 11 straight points and led by 55-27 at the halftime. Kristina Benic (180-F-88) finished one assist shy of a triple-double. She scored 15 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and handed out 9 assists. Antonija Misura had 23 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and Luca Ivankovic scored 33 points on shooting 13-of-16 from filed and grabbed 10 rebounds. Omis' bench players outscored its starters 43-30. Antonela Anic (177-F-85) netted 16 points, Maja Jercic had 13 points and 8 rebounds, Karla Kalajzic collected 12 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and Marta Perlic scored 12 points. Tresnjevka 2009-Rockwooll Pula 66-70: Pula usred only six players and overcame a 14-point deficit midway through the third quarter and captured their second road win of the season. Chelsea Pickering (175-G-89, college: Idaho St.) scored 24 points, Ivana Dukic 20, Tea Buzov and Maja Ramljak and Antonija Jakelic both grabbed 12 rebounds. Tresnjevka took their first double-digit lead in the game at 19-9 and they were still up 52-38 in the third quarter. Pula cut the deficit to 51-53 and after trailing 59-64, they scored seven straight points. Tea Buzov drilled a 3-pointer to give Pula its first lead of the game, 66-64. Anja Skara (184-F-91) hit a pair of free throw to tie at 66, but Tresnjevka held scoreless for the final four minutes of the game. Anja Skara finished with 15 points and 17 rebounds, Iva Slonjsak scored 14 points, Ivana Jovanovc 13, Lea Fabbri 11 and Anita Kelava had 11 rebounds. Tresnjevka had 25 offensive rebounds to Pula's7, but he shot just 26-83 from the field. Ragusa-Split 46-52: Split never trailed and won their third straight road game. They made a crucial 10-0 run in the last quarter of the match, making the scored 51-39. Dora Goles (167-PG-97) had 17 points and 6 steals and Josipa Zovko collected 11 points and 9 rebounds. Ragusa was led by Ivona Matic (188-F/C-86) with her 14 points. Sanda Tosic added 10 points. Zadar-Agram 81-59: Zadar scored 8 straight points to take its first double digit lead of the game, 23-13. Agram cut the deficit to 29-31, but Zadar answered with a 8-1 run and made a 14-2 run spanning the third and fourth quarter to go ahead 61-41. Antonia Erslan finished with 22 points, Davorka Balic (188-F-88) had 19 points and 17 rebounds and Zana Cvjetkovic posted 16 points. Agram was outrebounded 33-48. Branka Vukicevic (173-G-82) posted game-high 26 points, Ema Mestrovic added 13 points and Iva Meznaric collected 10 points and 11 reboubds. Medvescak-Pleter 84-48: All 12 players scored for Medvescak who won in all four quarters. Ivana Tikvic (189-C-94) led all scorers with 19 points, Nina Premasunac added 18 and Iva Borovic 10. Pleter's five starters combined for all 48 of the team's points. Ana Vrsaljko (188-F/C-84) netted 16 points and Martina Gambiraza 12.

The 20-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds, while her team outclassed Sibenik (#9, 3-8) with 49-point margin 100-51. It allowed Medvescak to consolidate first place in the Croatian A1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Medvescak keeps a perfect 12-0 record. In the team's last game Bura had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Medvescak and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Patricija Bura has solid league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 9.4rpg) and averages impressive 2.2spg and 54.3% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was another Medvescak's star - 22-year old Anja Majstorovic (184-SF-94). Majstorovic had a very good evening with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Bura she helped Medvescak with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Sibenik (#9, 3-8) 100-51. Of course Medvescak still keep the league's top spot. She plays for the best team in the league and Medvescak managed to win all 12 games keeping a perfect record. Majstorovic is one of the most experienced players at Medvescak and similarly like Patricija Bura has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.9ppg (#5). She also registered 6.3 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was guard Katarina Zarac (170-SG-83) of Ragusa (#4). Zarac got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. She went also for six assists. She was a key player of Ragusa, leading her team to a 100-51 easy win against the lower-ranked Croatia 2006 (#10, 1-11). Ragusa needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Zarac has a very solid season. In 12 games in Croatia she scored 5.3ppg.

Sibenik was led by Klaudija Perisa (180-SG-96) with 20 points, Ana Vrsaljko (188-F/C-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) had 16 points and 10 rebounds, Iva Cigic (174-PG-94) added 15 points and Andjela Strize 10. Zadar opened the game with a 12-4 run and Pula took their first lead of the game at 17-16 late in the first quarter. After tying at 38-38 midway through the third quarter, Pula scored five straight points to ignite a decisive 9-2 run for a 47-40 advantage. They had their largest lead of the night at 65-54 with 4:46 remaining. Zadar cut the deficit to six points, but then missed next six shots and Pula extended their lead to 69-59 going into the final minute.

Podravac tied the game at 63-63, but Nika Jelenkovic (168-G-01) sank a 3-pointer and Ivana Dujic (168-PG-95) made a pair of free throws that gave Zadar 68-63 lead. Podravac three times reduced the deficit to two points, the last beeing at 70-72 with 19 seconds left. Zadar's Glorija Sikiric (168-G-93) was fouled on the next possession. She missed the first free throw and made the second. Podravac had the final possession, but Nina Dedic (187-C-96) stole the ball. Ivana Dujic (168-PG-95) scored 19 points for Zadar, Nika Jelenkovic (168-G-01) and Nina Dedic (187-C-96) both added 13 points, Glorija Sikiric (168-G-93) and Lara Nikpalj posted 10 points apiece. Plamen Pozega-Split 71-58: Pozega took control of the game behind a 19-1 run for a 59-35 lead late in third quarter. Ana Vojtulek (187-C-99) collected 18 points and 18 rebounds, Martina Lovric (170-G-87) scored 18 points, all on 3-points baskets, and handed out 9 assists. Sandra Mandir (177-G-77) had 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists Ivona Bogoje (193-C-76) added 12 points. Split was led by Zrinka Barac (184-F-97) with 23 points and 11 renbounds and Emanuela Salopek (178-SG-87) scored 16 points.
Sibenik-Medvescak 51-100: After trailing 10-11, Medvescak went on a 14-0 run and used a close out the first half with a 22-4 run for a 51-23 lead. Anja Majstorovic (184-SF-94) finished with 27 points, Patricija Bura (188-C-96) had 23 points and 14 rebounds, Iva Borovic (170-G-88) added points 16 and Ana Petrak (163-G-98) 10. Sibenik's lone player in double figures was Klaudija Perisa (180-SG-96) with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Ragusa-Croatia 2006 100-51: Ragusa took their first double-digit lead of the game at 15-5 and later went on a decisive 22-2 run for a 35-11 advantage midway through the second quarter. Katarina Zarac (170-SG-83) scored 34 points on shooting 8-of-16 behind the 3-point line, Romana Stojanovic (186-F/G-93) posted 22 points, Ina Marin (168-G-86) had 14 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds and Marta Erslan (178-SF-96) scored 10 points. Ragusa had 91 field attempts including 41 3-point attempts. The home team outrebounded Croatia 52-33, picking up 23 offensive boards and had 31 assists. Croatia used only starters. Marijana Mamic (186-F-93) finished with 18 points and 16 rebounds, Helena Vidakovic (182-G-94) scored 13 points and Lucija Niksic (168-G-95) 11.
Tresnjevka 2009-Brod na Savi 101-61: Tresnjevka took control of the game behind a 17-2 run spanning to go up 22-10. They extend their advantage to 31-15 late in the first quarter. Marija Vujadinovic (175-G-90) scored 21 points on shooting 5-of-7 behind the 3-point line, Josipa Pavic (187-C-99) had 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists, Marija Galic (182-G-99) came off the bench for 17 points in just 17 minutes, Nika Muhl (177-PG-01) and Andjela Katavic (177-SG-99) both added 15 points and 15, Karla Erjavec (172-G-99) had 13 points. Tresnjevka's reserves outscored Brod's 39-2 and hit eight 3-pointers. Brod made just one of its 11 3-point attempts and commited 35 turnovers. Mihaela Lazic (168-G-00) scored 18 points and had 14 turnovers, Ana Kolar (169-G-99) and Ivana Saric (174-F-99) both posted 14 points.
