27-year old guard Tomislav Petrovic (203-G-85) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked KK Zagreb and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Darda (#7, 5-7) 83-69. KK Zagreb maintains the 2nd position in Croatian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. KK Zagreb will need more victories to improve their 9-3 record. In the team's last game Petrovic had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He turned to be KK Zagreb's top player in his first season with the team. Tomislav Petrovic averages this season 12.0ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Toni Brnas (201-F-91) of Djuro Djakovic. He is a forward in his first season at Djuro Djakovic. In the last game Brnas recorded impressive 22 points and 9 rebounds. Of course Djuro Djakovic cruised to a 98-91 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Jolly (#3, 8-4). Djuro Djakovic's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Brnas is one of the most experienced players at Djuro Djakovic and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Ronald Ross (188-G-83) of Jolly (#3). Ross got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for five assists. Despite Ross' great performance Jolly lost 91-98 to slightly lower-ranked Djuro Djakovic (#5, 7-5). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Jolly needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Ross has a great season in Croatia. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.1ppg (best scorer) and assists with 3.8apg (4th best). He also has 2.2spg, FGP: 57.9% and 3PT: 42.4%.

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.

Vujicevic moves from Capo d'Orlando to Siracusa - 13 minutes ago

Croatian U20 National member Mladen Vujicevic(203-F/C-96) will continue his career it Italy with Siracusa, according to his agent. Vujicevic last season spent with Betaland Capo d'Orlando and averaged 0.7 points, 1.0 rebounds, 0.3 steals and 0.3 blocks in just three Serie A League games as he mostly played for the junior team. Vujicevic grew up with GKK Sibenik, he joined Ribona Kastela in 2014 and after one season he moved to Italy to play with Betaland Capo d'Orlando.   [read more]

Josip Sobin signs with Anwil Wloclawek - 1 month ago

Josip Sobin(205-C-89) signed with Anwil Wloclawek for the upcoming season with option for additional year, the Polish club announced. It will be his second season abroad, as the former Croatian U16 National Team member spent last season with Montakint Fuenlabrada in Spain. Sobin averaged 6.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.4 blocks in 36 Liga Endesa games. Josip Sobin joins Anwil - 1 month ago

Anwil Wloclawek (TBL) agreed terms with 27-year old Croatian international center Josip Sobin(205-C-89, agency: Alti Sport). He played last season at Fuenlabrada in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 36 games he had 6.5ppg and 3.1rpg. The previous (14-15) season Sobin played at KK Zadar (A1) in Croatian league. In 16 games he recorded 12.8ppg, 7.8rpg, 3.6apg and 1.4spg.
