SKBD Rucon Spisska Nova Ves (Extraliga) added to their roster 29-year old Croatian ex-international center Iva Sliskovic (190-84, college: S.Carolina). She just played at Perfumerias in Spanish LFB league. In 6 games this season she recorded 4.2ppg and 4.2rpg. Sliskovic also played at ZKK Tresnjevka 2009 (A1) in Croatian league earlier that season. In four games this year she averaged 13.3ppg and 7.5rpg. The last season she played at Rivas Ecopolis in Spanish league. But in two Euroleague games last year she did not score anything and had 1 block. The previous (10-11) season Sliskovic played at Real Celta Vigo (LF) in Spanish league. In 26 games that year she averaged 15.0ppg, 8.2rpg (#5 in the league) and 1.8apg. A very spectacular season in her career as she was selected Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LFB Bosman Player of the Year and voted to 2nd Team and voted to All-Bosmans Team. She won Hungarian League championship title in 2008. Sliskovic was also a member of Croatian international program for some years. She played for Croatian Senior National Team between 2008 and 2012 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2004. Sliskovic also represented Croatia at the Olympic Games in London (United Kingdon) last year. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 3.5ppg, 1.5rpg. Sliskovic has played also professionally in Hungary (MKB Euroleasing). She attended University of South Carolina until 2007 and it will be her sixth season as a professional player.

Vinkovci and Vukovar to host U18 European Championship Women Division A on August 15-25. The Croatian cities will be glad to host such an event. Sixteen teams were divided into four groups with 4 teams in each.
Group A: Turkey, Belarus, Netherlands, Czech Republic
Group B: Spain, England, Russia, Croatia
Group C: Greece, Portugal, Sweden, Serbia
Group D: Italy, Slovenia, France, Slovak Republic

Last year France won the Gold at U18 EuroBasket in Bucharest. They failed in the Final against Belgium two years ago, but outsmarted Russia 65-61 taking the first place at that event. Olivia Epoupa (165-PG-94) was a key player in victory with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. She reached valuation 25 and was named MVP of the tournament. Belarus was the gold medal winner in Strumica. They grabbed 76-74 victory over UK in the Big Final of U18 EuroBasket Division B. The Silver belongs to UK and both teams won the promotion for Division A. Portugal won the Bronze in Strumica.
The busiest team at the start of the summer signing market continues to be Novi Zagreb. The freshly crowned Croatian champion announced the addition of Slovenian national team member Tina Trebec (189-C-90, agency: Kotnik Sports Agency) for the upcoming season.
