We bring you last week's top performances from Croatians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Marija Rezan
Marija Rezan
#1. This week's number one is an international center Marija Rezan (198-89, currently plays in Euroleague). She contributed to a Perfumerias Avenida's victory against the leader UMMC Ekaterinburg (10-1) 65-57 in the Euroleague in Wednesday night's game. Rezan recorded 8 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks in 30 minutes on the court. Perfumerias Avenida Salamanca (4-7) is placed sixth in group C. Her team will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Rezan averages: 5.0ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.3bpg, 2FGP: 42.1% in the four games she played so far. She is currently a member of the Croatian senior national team.

Ana Lelas
Ana Lelas
#2. Second place goes to an international swingman Ana Lelas (183-83, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB. She could not help Lattes Montpellier (15-3) to beat Arras (5-13). Lelas scored 9 points in 24 minutes. But the league leader Lattes Montpellier lost 71-75 on the road to the one of league's weakest teams (#13) Arras. This year Lelas' overall stats are: 9.4ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 38.4%, 3FGP: 36.4% and FT: 94.6%(35-37) in the 18 games. She is in the roster of the Croatian senior national team.

Jelena Ivezic
Jelena Ivezic
#3. The Croatian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international swingman Jelena Ivezic (182-84, currently plays in Turkey). Ivezic was the major contributor in a Ceyhan Bld's surprising victory against the league leader Botas (14-2) 65-49 in a derby game in the Turkish TKBL in Saturday night's game. She recorded 16 points and had 3 steals. Ceyhan Belediyespor (8-8) is placed seventh in the TKBL. It's Ivezic's first season with the team. Ivezic has relatively good stats this year: 13.4ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.8apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 50.9%, 3FGP: 52.5%(21-40) and FT: 90.5%(38-42). She is also a member of the Croatian senior national team.

Petra Stampalija
Petra Stampalija
#4. An experienced center Petra Stampalija (189-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LFB was not able to help Union Hainaut (4-14) in their last game. Despite Stampalija's good performance the bottom-ranked Union Hainaut lost 60-64 on the opponent's court to the much higher-ranked (#5) Tarbes. She scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 40 minutes. This year Stampalija has relatively solid stats: 10.5ppg, 3.8rpg and 4.0apg in the four games. She used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2010.

Iva Ciglar
Iva Ciglar
#5. International point guard Iva Ciglar (168-85, agency: Data Plus Group, currently plays in France) helped Perpignan win their game against the seventh-ranked Nantes Reze (9-9) 84-75 in the French LFB on Saturday night. Ciglar scored 6 points and added 5 passes. Perpignan Basket (12-5) is placed third in the LFB. Ciglar is ranked fifth on the list of the best passers in the league. Her total stats this season are: 6.2ppg, 2.9rpg and 4.4apg. Ciglar plays currently for the Croatian national team.

Sandra Mandir
Sandra Mandir
#6. Guard Sandra Mandir (177-77, currently plays in Turkey) helped Istanbul Universitesi win their game against the league outsider Edremit (1-15) 83-68 in the Turkish TKBL last Sunday. Mandir recorded 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. It was his first game for Istanbul Universitesi this season. Her team is placed sixth in the TKBL. Mandir is an international player who is currently on the senior Croatian National Team roster.

Lisa Karcic
Lisa Karcic
#7. International power forward Lisa Karcic (185-86, agency: Regeneracom Sports, college: Villanova, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Hondarribia-Irun (5-9) in their game against Perfumerias Avenida (11-2) in the Spanish LFB. She scored 7 points and had 3 steals in 30 minutes. Hondarribia-Irun was edged 81-78 in Salamanca by the second-ranked Perfumerias Avenida. Karcic is ranked fourth on the list of the most steals in the league with 2.2spg. This year her other stats are: 8.5ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.3apg in the 14 games. Karcic is a naturalized American. She is also Croatian national team player. Strangely Karcic has never played in Croatia.

The list of other players, who all have Croatian passport but never been selected to any of Croatian national teams:

#1. Experienced Suzy Batkovic-Brown (195-C-80, currently plays in Australia) led Adelaide Lightning to a victory over the league leader Bendigo Spirit (19-3) crushing them 86-66 in the Australian WNBL last Sunday. Batkovic-Brown was MVP of the game. She recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 13 rebounds. Batkovic-Brown also added 3 assists and 3 blocks (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Adelaide Link Lightning (15-6) is placed third in the WNBL. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Batkovic-Brown has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages: 20.9ppg, 10.0rpg, 2.0apg, 2.7bpg and 1.6spg. Batkovic-Brown has a dual citizenship: Croatian and Australian.

#2. Iva Grbas (188-F/C-87, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LF2 (12th division) could not help Limoges (3-12) in their last game. Despite her very good performance Limoges was crushed 85-61 on the road by the higher-ranked (#5) Pau Lacq Orthez. Grbas was the top scorer with 18 points. She also added 8 rebounds in 30 minutes. It was Limoges' fourth consecutive loss in a row. Grbas belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #4 with 15.7ppg. She also averaged so far 5.7rpg in the 13 games she played so far.

#3. Jelena Radic (190-C-87, currently plays in Adriatic League) contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked Celik (9-8) 65-47 in the Adriatic League in Saturday night's game. She recorded 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Radivoj Korac Beograd (13-4) is placed third in group T. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Adriatic League Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Radic's total stats this season are: 7.9ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.2apg.
