Cibona and Cedevita will play in Kresimir Cosic Cup Final tomorrow. They overcame Zadar and Split in the respective semifinal battles tonight.
Cibona stunned Zadar 100:67. Zadar led by three points after ten minutes 20:17. But Cibona took over shortly after. They surged ahead in the second term and ensured a 47:40 halftime lead. Cibona stretched the margin in the third quarter. They accounted for a massive 23-point lead before the fourth frame. Cibona controlled the tempo in the final period and sealed the winning outcome. Andrija Zizic (207-C-80, agency: Beo Basket) delivered 22 points to pace the winners. Jerel Blassingame (175-PG-81, college: UNLV) added 20 points for Cibona. Ante Delas (200-G/F-88) answered with 9 points for Zadar.
Cedevita took care of Split 89:80. Cedevita jumped to an early lead. They ensured a 24:17 advantage ten minutes into the game. Split reacted with a strong offensive effort to narrow the gap at 6-point mark at halftime. Cedevita made necessary arrangements in the big break and held their opponents to 16 points in the third term. The gap grew at 14-point mark with ten minutes remaining. Split were able to trim the deficit but came up way too short of victory at the end. Bracey Wright (191-G-84, agency: Priority Sports, college: Indiana) delivered 17 points to lead the winners. Predrag Suput (200-F-77, agency: Beo Basket) added 15 points for Cedevita. Split answered with 16 points from Filip Kraljevic (212-F-89, agency: Beo Basket). Filip Kruslin (198-SG-89, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 13 points in the loss.

Sibenik will host the 2017 Croatian Cup Kresimir Cosic Final-Eight from February 15 to 18. The host teams GKK Sibenik and Jolly JBS Sibenik avoid each other in quarterfinals, but they could meet in the semifinals.
