Budimir
Veljko Budimir (199-G/F-85, agency: Court Side) had a very impressive game in the last round for Osjecki Sokol and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 27-year old swingman had the game-high 29 points adding six rebounds and nine assists for Osjecki Sokol in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Dubrovnik (#10, 1-14) with 28-point margin 85-57. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on the top of the standings. Osjecki Sokol maintains the 9th position in Croatian A1. Osjecki Sokol is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-10 record. In the team's last game Budimir had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Osjecki Sokol, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Veljko Budimir averages this season 14.4ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old American guard Ronald Ross (188-G-83) of Jolly. Ross impressed basketball fans with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Jolly cruised to a 88-79 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Zabok (#7, 6-9). Jolly's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 10-5 record is not bad at all. Ross is well-known by Jolly fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.4ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 5.1rpg and 3.8apg.

The third best performed player last round was Marino Sarlija (207-C/F-89) of Djuro Djakovic (#5). Sarlija scored 16 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Djuro Djakovic, leading his team to a 68-65 win against slightly lower-ranked Darda (#6, 7-8). Djuro Djakovic needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 7 lost games. Sarlija has a great season in Croatia. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.9rpg (4th best). He also has 1.8bpg and FGP: 65.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Karlo Zganec (205-F/C-95) of KK Zagreb - 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
5. Ivan Mikulic (191-G-91) of Dubrovnik - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Antonio Vlaic (204-C-91) of Zabok - 21 points and 7 rebounds
7. Ivan Cvjetkovic (205-C-85) of Krizevci - 17 points and 8 rebounds
8. Aljosa Sarac (190-G-89) of Osjecki Sokol - 24 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Marin Zrnic (200-F-88) of Krizevci - 18 points and 8 rebounds
10. Dino Cinac (198-F-88) of Kvarner 2010 - 15 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
