There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in A1.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked KK Zagreb as it allowed them to take a leadership position. KK Zagreb defeated 7th ranked KK Zabok at home 85-72. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-72. KK Zagreb forced 27 KK Zabok turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Matija Poscic (204-85, college: De Paul) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international forward Ivan Novacic (201-85) contributed with 18 points for the winners. KK Zagreb's coach Daniel Jusup used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Filip Bundovic (203-94) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for KK Zabok. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Kvarner 2010. KK Zabok lost third consecutive game. KK Zabok at the other side keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Krizevci. Just two games before the end of Regular Season and it may be the most important game of the season next round when KK Zabok faces strong Kvarner 2010 trying to get back on the winning streak. KK Zagreb will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Osjecki Sokol in Osijek.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Alkar Sinj (10-6) against sixth ranked Vrijednosnice OS (8-8) on Saturday night. Visiting Alkar Sinj was defeated by Vrijednosnice OS in a tough game in Darda 77-81. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Antonio Bicvic (199-82) who helped to win the game recording 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Alen Trepalovac who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Nikola Gaurina (199-83, agency: Interperformances) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Alkar Sinj's coach Boris Poljak tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Vrijednosnice OS maintains sixth position with 8-8 record. Alkar Sinj at the other side dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Vrijednosnice OS will play against Krizevci (#8) on the road in the next round. Alkar Sinj will play against Djuro Djakovic (#5) in Slavonski Brod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between fourth ranked Jolly (11-5) and 9th ranked Osjecki Sokol (5-11) in Sibenik on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Jolly outscored guests from Osijek 94-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Osjecki Sokol. The winners were led by Mate Mrva who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Jolly's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 17 points and 8 rebounds by Veljko Budimir did not help to save the game for Osjecki Sokol. Jolly have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Osjecki Sokol keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Jolly will meet at home bottom-ranked KK Dubrovnik (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Osjecki Sokol will play against the league's leader KK Zagreb and hope to secure a win.

In the last two games of round 16 Krizevci was smashed by Kvarner 2010 on the road 104-83. Bottom-ranked Dubrovnik lost to Djuro Djakovic on its own court 69-77.

Kvarner 2010 dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Krizevci's 30. The winners were led by forward Ivica Radic (208-90) who scored that evening 20 points and swingman Antonio Boban (200-93) supported him with 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Visiting Alkar Sinj was defeated by Vrijednosnice OS in a tough game in Darda 77-81. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Alkar Sinj won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vrijednosnice OS made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Antonio Bicvic (199-82) who helped to win the game recording 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and naturalized Bosnian center Alen Trepalovac (214-85) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Nikola Gaurina (199-83, agency: Interperformances) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and forward Zeljko Zupic (205-81, college: Denver) scored 17 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
