Matija
Poscic
27-year old center Matija Poscic (204-C-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team KK Zagreb and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Zabok (#7, 6-10) 85-72. It allowed KK Zagreb to take over top position in the Croatian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. KK Zagreb has a very solid 12-4 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. It was one of impressive evenings for Poscic as usually he does not deliver so high stats. De Paul University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Poscic is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 6.5rpg) and averages solid 67.8% FGP. Worth to mention Poscic played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Mate Mrva (195-F-83) of Jolly. He is a forward in his 3rd season at Jolly. In the last game Mrva recorded impressive double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he lead Jolly to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Osjecki Sokol (#9, 5-11) 94-64. This victory allowed Jolly to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 11-5 record is not bad at all. Mrva is one of the most experienced players at Jolly and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.2ppg (#2). He also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Jolly's star - forward Tomislav Gabric (201-F-95). Gabric scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was another key player of Jolly, helping his team with a 94-64 easy win against the lower-ranked Osjecki Sokol (#9, 5-11). Jolly needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 5 lost games. Gabric has a very solid season. In 14 games in Croatia he scored 7.6ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Filip Bundovic (203-C-94) of Zabok - 17 points and 11 rebounds
5. Patrick Rembert (185-PG-89) of Krizevci - 19 points and 4 rebounds
6. Ivan Tomas (193-G-81) of Zabok - 21 points and 2 rebounds
7. Ivan Mikulic (191-G-91) of Dubrovnik - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Petar Zivkovic (193-SG-93) of Djuro Djakovic - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Stipe Krstanovic (204-F/C-93) of Krizevci - 18 points and 6 rebounds
10. Zeljko Zupic (205-F-81) of Alkar Sinj - 17 points and 3 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
