Here is the weekly review of the top performing Croatian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international forward Kresimir Loncar (210-83, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in VTB United League). He was the major contributor in Khimky's victory against the sixth-ranked Lietuvos rytas (8-8) 88-79 in the VTB United League in Monday night's game. Loncar recorded 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and made 2 blocks in 21 minutes on the court. BC Khimky Moscow Region (12-4) is placed first in group A. There are only two games left until the end of the VTB United League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Loncar averages: 7.9ppg, 3.0rpg, 2FGP: 59.7%(46-77) and FT: 79.4% in the 15 games he played so far. He played for the Croatian senior national team three years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former international center Ante Tomic (217-87, currently plays in Euroleague). Tomic led his Spanish team Regal FC Barcelona to a 2-point victory against the fourth-ranked Khimky (5-4) 71-69 in the Euroleague last Thursday. He scored 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Regal FC Barcelona (8-1) is placed first in group F. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Tomic belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #4. He has very reliable stats this season: 11.7ppg, 5.7rpg, 1.6apg, 1.4bpg, 2FGP: 63.8%(95-149) and FT: 61.1%. Tomic played for the Croatian national team in 2011.

   #3. The Croatian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-84, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his Greek team Panathinaikos to a victory against the second-ranked Anadolu Efes (7-2) 75-62 in the Euroleague on Friday night. Ukic scored 13 points, had 9 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 35 minutes. Panathinaikos Athens (6-3) is placed fourth in group E. This year Ukic's overall stats are: 9.3ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.4apg, 2FGP: 51.1%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 64.3% in the 18 games. He is also a member of the Croatian senior national team.

Point guard Dontaye Draper (180-84, college: Charleston, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked UCAM Murcia (10-13) 86-69 in the Spanish ACB in Sunday night's game. Draper scored 9 points. Real Madrid (22-1) is placed first in the ACB. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Draper's total stats this season are: 4.5ppg and 1.7apg. He is a naturalized American. Draper used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2011. He played also for Cedevita Zagreb in Croatian league.

International swingman Krunoslav Simon (197-85, agency: Beo Basket, currently plays in Spain) led Unicaja Malaga to a surprising victory over the fourth-ranked Gescrap BB (14-9) 63-59 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. Simon was MVP of the game. He scored 17 points in 26 minutes. Unicaja Malaga (11-12) is placed 11th in the ACB. This year Simon's total stats are: 9.6ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.9apg in the 23 games. He plays currently for the Croatian national team.

An experienced forward Jasmin Perkovic (205-80, agency: Court Side, currently plays in Adriatic League) contributed to Un.Olimpija's victory against the closely-ranked Krka (9-14) 76-63 in the Adriatic League on Saturday night. Perkovic scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Union Olimpija Ljubljana (13-10) is placed sixth in the Adriatic League. There are only three games left until the end of the Adriatic League Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Perkovic has averaged so far 4.6ppg and 1.6rpg. He is a former U21 international player as he played for the Croatian team twelve years ago.

Former international guard Marko Popovic (185-82, college: S.Idaho JC, currently plays in VTB United League) contributed to Zalgiris' victory against the seventh-ranked CEZ Nymburk (5-10) 90-84 in the VTB United League in Sunday night's game. Popovic recorded 10 points (made all of his six free throws) in 22 minutes. B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (15-1) is placed first in group B. It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the VTB United League Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Popovic has averaged so far 9.8ppg, 1.2rpg and 3.1apg in the 14 games. He used to play for the Croatian national team two years ago.

   #8. Center Luka Zoric (211-84, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Krunoslav Simon. But that was another game of his team in Euroleague which we would like to mention. Zoric, who plays in Spain could not help Unicaja Malaga (4-5) in their last game on Friday. Despite his good performance the sixth-placed Unicaja Malaga was badly defeated 83-67 on the road by the higher-ranked Zalgiris (#5) in the group E of Euroleague. Zoric was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks. Zoric has relatively good stats this season: 11.7ppg and 4.6rpg. He plays currently for the Croatian national team.

   #9. Former international guard Damir Rancic (199-83, currently plays in Slovenia) was not able to help Helios (12-5) in their game against Polzela (4-13) in the Slovenian Telemach League, despite his very good performance on Saturday night. Rancic was the top scorer with 22 points in 31 minutes. But the league leader Helios lost 74-81 at home to the much lower-ranked (#9) Polzela. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. This year Rancic has relatively solid stats: 13.0ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.0apg in the five games. He used to play for the Croatian national team four years ago.

   #10. Power forward Mario Delas (207-90, currently plays in Euroleague) is a teammate of previously mentioned Marko Popovic. He played also in the last Euroleague game facing Luka Zoric (above) in the other team. Delas contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Unicaja Malaga (4-5) 83-67. He scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Delas has averaged so far 2.7ppg and 1.8rpg. He is a former international player as four years ago he still played for the Croatian senior national team.

   #11. International point guard Rok Stipcevic (185-86, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for VL Pesaro in their game against Trenkwalder RE in the Italian SerieA, despite his very good performance last Sunday. Stipcevic was the top scorer with 23 points. He also added 7 rebounds in 33 minutes. But his team was edged 68-65. Stipcevic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.4ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.6apg and 1.6spg in the eight games. Stipcevic plays currently for the Croatian national team.

   #12. Former international guard Zoran Vrkic (200-87, currently plays in Greece) led Ikaros to a victory over the 12th-ranked KAOD 80-74 in the Greek A1 on Monday night. He was the best player in that game. Vrkic scored 19 points, had 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Vrkic has reliable stats this season: 11.4ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.7apg. He used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2011.

   #13. Former international point guard Jakov Vladovic (187-83, currently plays in Adriatic League) faced previously mentioned Jasmin Perkovic in the Adriatic League last game. Vladovic couldn't help Krka in their game against Un.Olimpija. Despite his very good performance last Saturday He was the second best scorer with 13 points. Vladovic also added 7 assists. Vladovic is currently third on the list of best passers. He has averaged so far 8.3ppg, 3.8rpg and 4.4apg. Vladovic used to play for the Croatian national team four years ago.

   #14. Former international swingman Mario Stojic (198-80, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Belgium) contributed to a 2-point Base Oostende's victory against the fifth-ranked Antwerp Giants 69-67 in the Belgian Ethias League on Friday night. He recorded 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 30 minutes. Stojic's stats this year are: 12.0ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg in the 18 games. He used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2009.

   #15. Former international center Andrija Stipanovic (209-86, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Vanoli Cremona in their game against Lottomatica Roma in the Italian SerieA. Despite his very good performance in Sunday night's game Stipanovic was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 6 rebounds. Stipanovic is currently second on the list of best rebounders. He has averaged so far 9.4ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.4spg. Stipanovic used to play for the Croatian national team six years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Croatian passport but never been selected to any of Croatian national teams:

   #1. Anthony Drmic (198-G/F-92, currently plays college basketball in the States) led Boise St. to an easy victory against the The University of Nevada (3-11) crushing them 73-47 in the NCAA in Wednesday night's game. Drmic recorded 26 points (!!!) in 34 minutes. The Boise State University has 8-6 conference record this season. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. Drmic's stats this year are: 11.4ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.7apg in the 16 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Croatian and Australian.

   #2. Experienced Marin Petric (190-G-80, currently plays in Germany) led Duesseldorf Baskets to a victory over the tenth-ranked NBC (11-13) 79-65 in the German ProA (second division) last Sunday. He was the top player that evening. Petric scored 22 points and added 4 passes in 28 minutes. Duesseldorf Baskets (17-7) is placed third in the ProA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Petric averaged so far 10.3ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.8apg in the 23 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Croatian and German.

   #3. Mladen Primorac (210-C-90, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to a 3-point Tajfun's victory against the eighth-ranked LTHcast Mercator (5-12) 76-73 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. Primorac scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. KK Tajfun Sentjur (12-5) is placed second in the Telemach League. It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Primorac is currently seventh on the list of best rebounders. This season he has very good stats: 13.2ppg and 6.8rpg.

   #4. Igor Maric (196-F-85, currently plays in Slovenia) was the major contributor in a 3-point Maribor Messer's victory against the closely-ranked Elektra (8-9) 62-59 in the Slovenian Telemach League last Saturday. Maric scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. KK Maribor Messer (12-5) is placed third in the Telemach League. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Maric averaged so far 13.1ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.5apg and 1.2spg.

   #5. Sandi Marcius (206-F-90, currently studies in the States) contributed to Purdue's victory against the University of Wisconsin (9-5) 69-56 in the NCAA in Sunday night's game. He scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The Purdue University has 7-9 conference record this season. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. It's Marcius' fourth year with the team. Marcius averaged so far 13.1ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.5apg and 1.2spg.

   #6. Marco Buljevic (197-G-87, agency: Court Side, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German ProA (second division) could not help ETB Wohnbau (10-14) in their last game. Despite his very good performance ETB Wohnbau lost 92-100 at home to the higher-ranked (#8) Science City Jena. Buljevic was the second best scorer with 18 points. He also added 3 passes in 31 minutes. Buljevic averaged so far 10.5ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.0apg in the 24 games. He has both Croatian and German nationalities. Despite Buljevic's Croatian passport, he previously played for the German U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Croatian team.

   #7. Igor Milicic (194-G-76, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in Poland) was not able to help AZS Koszalin in their game against Anwil in the Polish TBL. Milicic scored 6 points. His team was defeated 75-68. He has averaged so far 5.2ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.7apg. Milicic also holds two passports: Croatian and Polish.

   #8. Milos Paravinja (212-C/F-79, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to a 2-point Geoplin Slovan's victory against the closely-ranked Rogaska 73-71 in the Slovenian Telemach League on Saturday night. He scored 8 points and added 3 assists in 24 minutes. Paravinja has averaged so far 8.7ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.4apg in the 16 games. He has Croatian and Slovenian nationalities.

   #9. Vladimir Tomasevic (200-F-75, currently plays in Serbia) contributed to a Beovuk 72's victory against the closely-ranked Proleter Naftagas 94-82 in the Serbian B League (second division) in Saturday night's game. Tomasevic recorded 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He has averaged so far 2.7ppg and 1.1rpg.

   #10. Kristijan Krajina (206-F-90, is currently at the American university) helped Mt.St.Mary's win their game against the Monmouth University 77-63 in the NCAA in Thursday night's game. Krajina scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in only 14 minutes. He has averaged so far 2.7ppg and 1.1rpg in the 13 games.
  



Branko Barbic replaces Zvonimir Mravak as Hermes Analitica head coach - 7 hours ago
Hermes Analitica have parted ways with coach Zvonimir Mravak with immediate effect after both parties reached a mutually amicable agreement and replaced him with its former coach Branko Barbic for the remainder of the season. Barbic had already coached Hermes Analitica in a 2005-06 season. He has also coached A2 League clubs Kaptol and Bosco.
