Croatia dominates the second half, still losses short to France in the last game of the first Day in the Second Stage. The hosts led 24 points at the halftime but escaped with only 79:70 win.

France started the game with a 23-10 and easily controlled the game. They added 20-9 surge in the second period and enjoyed a 43:19 halftime advantage. Croatia however showed that it was possible to play against the favorites of the campaign. They fully dominated the second half and won both quarters. Croatia posted a 30-22 lead in the third period and finished the game with a 21-13 burst. Marija Rezan (198-C-89), Antonija Misura (178-F-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) and Ciglar closed the game at 78:70. Edwige Lawson-Wade (168-PG-79) top-scored for the winners with 12 points and Emmeline Ndongue (192-C-83) notched 10. Isabelle Yacoubou-Dehoui (190-C-86) delivered 9, whilst Diandra Tchatchouang (186-F-91, college: Maryland) and Celine Dumerc (169-G-82) had 8 each. Ana Lelas (183-G/F-83) replied with 18 points in the losing effort, whilst Marija Rezan and Antonija Misura nailed 11 each. Jelena Ivezic (182-F/G-84) and Emanuela Salopek (178-SG-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports) followed them with 7 points each in a loss.
