Talented Patricija Bura (188-C-96) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Medvescak and that's her to receive a Court Side Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 20-year old center had a double-double of 20 points and thirteen rebounds, while her team crushed Tresnjevka (#2, 14-2) with 21-point margin 94-73. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Medvescak to consolidate first place in the Croatian A1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and Medvescak still have not lost a single game, getting all 15 victories. It's Bura's second year at Medvescak and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Bura has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 10.2rpg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 52.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international forward Lea Miletic (183-F-95) of Pula C.Tours. Miletic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Pula C.Tours cruised to a 72-65 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Split (#8, 5-10). Pula C.Tours' 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 8-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Miletic is a newcomer at Pula C.Tours and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.5ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 11.8rpg and 4.5apg.

The third best performed player last round was Nadia Hadnadj Vidakovic of Croatia 2006 (#11). Vidakovic scored 27 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Vidakovic's great performance Croatia 2006 lost 48-94 to the higher-ranked Zadar (#4, 9-6). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Croatia 2006 can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-14 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Vidakovic she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. Vidakovic has a very solid season. In 13 games in Croatia she scored 14.8ppg. She also has 7.1rpg and FGP: 53.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marta Erslan (178-SF-96) of Ragusa - 6 points, 20 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Ana Lelas (183-G/F-83) of Tresnjevka - 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Valentina Simunic (175-G-98) of Podravac - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists
7. Ana Vojtulek (187-C-99) of Pozega - 17 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Nina Dedic (187-C-96) of Zadar - 9 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Iva Todoric (174-F-93) of Medvescak - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Mihaela Lazic (168-G) of Brod na Savi - 25 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Court Side. Court Side is the global leader in basketball management, and is widely regarded as the most dynamic and innovative company of its kind. It was the first Basketball Agency to launch its own website, and the first to have its own database. Court Side has more agents and manpower within its organization, than any other competitor, and its international network of basketball contacts is still unparalleled.
