Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Croatians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency, currently plays in Spain). He could not help one of league's weakest teams FC Barcelona (14-6) in their last game. Despite Tomic's very good performance FC Barcelona was edged in an overtime 83-81 on the road by the higher-ranked (#4) Movil Estudiantes. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Tomic also added 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in 31 minutes on the court. It's Tomic's fifth season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 13.8ppg, 7.4rpg, 2.3apg, 2FGP: 67.3%(101-150) and FT: 64.8% in 20 games he played so far. Tomic played for the Croatian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced international point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-84, also represented by XL Basketball Agency, currently plays in Greece). He led AEK Athens to a victory over the seventh-ranked PAOK (8-8) 77-71 in the Greek A1 last Saturday. Ukic was MVP of the game. He recorded 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. AEK Athens (15-4) is placed third in the A1. This season Ukic has relatively solid stats: 11.1ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.6apg, 2FGP: 55.2%(48-87), 3FGP: 34.1% and FT: 77.4%. He is in the roster of the Croatian senior national team.

   #3. The Croatian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Leon Radosevic (207-90, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Germany). Radosevic contributed to an easy victory against the 16th-ranked Braunschweig (4-18) crushing them 95-75 in the German BBL on Monday night. He scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a mere 16 minutes. Brose Baskets Bamberg (21-1) is placed second in the BBL. It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. This year Radosevic averages: 7.8ppg, 2.5rpg, 2FGP: 69.6%(39-56) and FT: 65.2% in 12 games. He is also a member of the Croatian senior national team.

   #4. Power forward Dario Saric (207-94, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Philadelphia 76ers (21-38) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Saric's very good performance the Philadelphia 76ers (21-38) were edged 110-109 in New York by the Knicks. He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 15 rebounds. Saric also added 5 assists. It's Saric's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Saric averages: 11.3ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.9apg. He is also Croatian national team player.

International power forward Ante Zizic (210-97, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Euroleague) was not able to secure a victory for Darussafaka (11-12) in their last game. Despite Zizic's good performance the ninth-placed Darussafaka (11-12) was badly defeated 101-83 in Madrid by the leading Real in the group A of Euroleague. He had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds in 31 minutes. Zizic has reliable stats this year: 10.3ppg and 7.9rpg in nine games. He plays currently for the Croatian national team.

   #6. Forward Hrvoje Peric (203-85, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Umana Venezia (12-8) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Peric's good performance Umana Venezia was defeated 91-82 in Cremona by the league outsider Vanoli (#16). He scored 10 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Peric is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Umana Venezia's roster. Peric's stats this season are: 10.6ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.8apg and 1.4spg. He is a former international player as he played for the Croatian senior team two years ago.

Former U18 international forward Jure Skific (202-88, agency: 011 Sports, currently plays in Poland) was the major contributor in a Twarde Pierniki's victory against the league outsider Stabill (3-19) crushing them 111-70 in the Polish PLK in Friday night's game. Skific scored 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. Polski Cukier Torun (16-5) is placed first in the PLK. Skific's stats this year are: 10.8ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.7apg in 21 games. He used to play for the Croatian U18 national team eleven years ago.

   #8. Center Josip Sobin (203-89, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in Poland) contributed to Anwil's victory against the ninth-ranked Energa Czarni (11-10) 69-63 in the Polish PLK last Sunday. Sobin scored 13 points, grabbed 9 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 4 balls. Anwil Wloclawek (14-7) is placed third in the PLK. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Sobin averaged so far 11.0ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.9apg. He plays currently for the Croatian national team.

International point guard Rok Stipcevic (185-86, another player represented by Alti Sport, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Banco di Srd (11-9) in their game against VL Pesaro (7-13) in the Italian Serie A. Stipcevic scored 9 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 27 minutes. But Banco di Srd lost 71-76 in Pesaro to the much lower-ranked (#14) VL Pesaro. Stipcevic averaged so far 11.2ppg, 2.4rpg and 3.0apg in 20 games. He is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.

Power forward Ivan Buva (208-91, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a RETAbet BB's victory against the league outsider La ICL Manresa (3-18) 86-79 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Buva recorded 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. RETAbet Bilbao Basket (10-10) is placed ninth in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Buva averaged so far 11.3ppg and 5.6rpg. He is a former U20 international player as six years ago he still played for the Croatian national team.

   #11. Former U18 international power forward Stjepan Tesija (206-89, currently plays in Balkan League) was the main contributor in Beroe's victory against the closely-ranked Sutjeska 76-68 in the Balkan League last Tuesday. Tesija was the best player in that game. He recorded 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds (made all of his five free throws) in 20 minutes. Tesija averaged so far 10.4ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg in 14 games. He used to play for the Croatian U18 national team ten years ago.

   #12. Former U20 international center Domagoj Bubalo (212-91, currently plays in Estonia) helped Parnu win their game against the closely-ranked Rapla 64-49 in the Estonian Alexela KML on Tuesday night. Bubalo recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 5 assists. This season Bubalo has very high stats. He averages: 16.6ppg, 8.3rpg and 1.7apg. Bubalo used to play for the Croatian U20 national team back in 2011.

   #13. International small forward Bojan Bogdanovic (203-89, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the Washington Wizards (34-23) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Washington Wizards lost 92-102 in Salt Lake City to the Utah Jazz. Bogdanovic scored 15 points in 33 minutes. Bogdanovic averaged so far 8.5ppg and 2.5rpg in two games. He is also Croatian national team player.

   #14. International center Ivica Zubac (216-97, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the Los Angeles Lakers (19-41) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Los Angeles Lakers were badly defeated 110-93 in Oklahoma City by the Thunder. Zubac recorded 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks in 27 minutes. This year Zubac's overall stats are: 5.9ppg and 3.9rpg in 25 games. He plays currently for the Croatian national team.

   #15. International swingman Fran Pilepic (193-89, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help AV Cantu in their game against Betaland Cdo in the Italian Serie A. Despite his very good performance in Sunday night's game Pilepic was the top scorer with 17 points. He also added 4 steals. Pilepic averaged so far 10.7ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.9apg. He is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.


The list of other players, who all have Croatian passport but never been selected to any of Croatian national teams:

   #1. Igor Maric (196-F-85, currently plays in Slovakia) was the major contributor in Prievidza's victory against the closely-ranked Iskra Svit (16-16) 93-78 in the Slovakian SBL last Saturday. Maric recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks. BC Prievidza (21-10) is placed third in the SBL. It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses. Maric averaged so far 13.8ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg.

   #2. Marijan Cakarun (204-C-90, currently plays in Spain) could not help La ICL Manresa (3-18) in their last game. Despite Cakarun's very good performance the bottom-ranked La ICL Manresa lost 79-86 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#9) RETAbet BB. He was the top scorer with 15 points in 22 minutes. It was La ICL Manresa's fourth consecutive loss in a row. This year Cakarun's total stats are: 7.3ppg and 4.1rpg in 21 games he played so far.

   #3. Experienced Matija Ceskovic (192-G-81, currently plays in Balkan League) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Feni Industries (2-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Feni Industries was edged 70-69 at home by the higher-ranked (#6) Kozuv. Ceskovic was the top scorer with 16 points in 33 minutes. The Second Stage already ended in the Balkan League. Ceskovic averaged so far 11.9ppg, 1.1rpg and 1.9apg in 14 games.

   #4. Aleksandar Marcius (208-C-90, college: De Paul, currently plays in Spain) led Caceres Basket to a surprising victory over the sixth-ranked Melilla Baloncesto (15-10) 104-99 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Friday night's game. He was the top player that evening. Marcius recorded 29 points (!!!) and grabbed 5 rebounds in 38 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Caceres Patrimonio de la Humanidad (11-14) is placed 13th in the LEB Gold. Marcius averaged so far 13.8ppg, 7.6rpg and 1.1spg in 25 games.

   #5. Marin Mornar (205-F-93, college: Loyola Mary, currently plays in Denmark) led Horsens IC to a victory against the closely-ranked Bakken (19-4) 94-90 in the Danish Ligaen last Thursday. He scored 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds; not bad, considering it's only Mornar's third season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Horsens IC (20-5) is placed first in the Ligaen. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Mornar's total stats this season are: 6.0ppg and 3.0rpg.

   #6. Toni Bizaca (202-F-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency, currently plays in Sweden) led Sodertalje Kings to a 3-point victory over the sixth-ranked Boras Basket 70-67 in the Swedish Basketligan in Tuesday night's game. He was the top player that evening. Bizaca scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Bizaca has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.2ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.8apg.

   #7. Veljko Budimir (199-F-85, currently plays in Hungary) contributed to a PVSK Pannon's victory against the closely-ranked ZTE KK 97-89 in the Hungarian A Division last Saturday. Budimir recorded 9 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and made 3 blocks in 36 minutes. Budimir averaged so far 13.3ppg, 4.7rpg, 2.2apg and 1.2spg in 19 games.

   #8. Anthony Drmic (198-G/F-92, college: Boise St., currently plays in Australia) was not able to secure a victory for Adelaide 36ers (17-11) in their last game. Despite his good performance the league leader Adelaide 36ers lost 98-106 in Gwynneville to the lower-ranked (#4) Illawarra Hawks. Drmic scored 10 points in only 7 minutes. This year Drmic's total stats are: 6.0ppg and 3.3rpg in 30 games. He has a dual citizenship: Croatian and Australian.

   #9. Sasa Jankovic (204-F-84, currently plays in Slovakia) helped Iskra Svit win their game against the closely-ranked Levice 92-84 in the Slovakian SBL in Wednesday night's game. Jankovic recorded 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Jankovic averaged so far 11.9ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.7apg.

   #10. Marko Jagodic Kuridza (205-PF-87, currently plays in Belgium) managed to help Telenet BC Oostende to win against the fifth-ranked Basic-Fit Brussels 88-76 in the Belgian Euromillions League on Saturday night. He scored only 4 points. Jagodic Kuridza's total stats this season are: 7.0ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.4apg. He is another player who holds two passports: Serbian and Croatian.

Skrljevo announced the signig of American Jaron Nash for the coming season. Nash arrives from Argentinian side Atletico Echague Parana, where he averaged 4.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.6 blocks in 18 TNA League games last season. Nash played college basketball at Texax Tech and North Dakota from 2011 to 2015. In his last NCAA' season, 2014-15, Nash averaged 12.4 points and 6.3 rebounds in 29 games with North Dakota. Toni Radic has been confirmend as the new coach of Hermes Analitica, replacing Zvonimir Mravak. Radic arrives from German Regional liga Two side Activ Bilanz Fellbach Stuttgart. He started his coaching career in 1993 as an assistant coach of Bergedorf Youth team. He became a head coach for the first time the next season, taking Quickborn women team. Ante Delas (ex Agropoli) may be added to Lietkabelis roster - 8 hours ago
Panevezys Lietkabelis (LKL) is close to ink 29-year old Croatian international guard Ante Delas (200-88) who played last time at BCC Corvengenze Agropoli in Italy. Delas managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 11 Serie A2 games he averaged 11.0ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.4spg. He also played that season for Belfius Mons Hainaut in Belgian Euromillions League where in 17 games he had 7.5ppg, 2.1rpg and 1.5apg.
