Many A2 League teams reshape their rosters ahead of the Championship Stage.
Jazine Arbanasi bolstered its roster by inking Matej Karlovic (200-F-89), Dino Palcic (185-G-90) and Niko Marin (91) untill the end of the season. Karlovic arrives from Vrijednosnice Osijek, where he averaged 10.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.1 blocks in 7 Croatian A1 League games this season. Palcic started the season with Skrljevo, for he averaged 6.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.1 blocks in 13 Croatian A1 League games this season before he left the club in January. Marin arrives from city-rival Sonik Puntamika, where he averaged 6.5 points in six Croatian A2 League South games this season.
Ribola Kastela have reunited with Aco Mandic (203-C/F-84) and signed former U20 national team member Frano Marasovic (214-C-92). Mandic started the season with Slovakian side Lucenec and in January moved to Zlatibor, for whom he averaged 9.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 0.8 assists and0.3 steals in 6 Second Serbian League games. Mandic previously played for Ribola Kastela in 2015/16 season and averaged 13.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 23 A1 League games. Marasovic arrives from Skrljevo, where he averaged 3.7 points, 1.6 rebounds, 0.1 assists, 0.1 steals and 0.5 blocks in 10 Croatian A1 League games this season.
Sanac added Australian Dominic Gilbert (198-G/F-96, college: UBC) for the remainder of the season. Gilbert arrives from Kvarner 2010, where he averaged 6.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.6 steals in 10 Croatian A1 League games this season.
Pula 1981 signed Lovro Bulesic (203-SG-98), Nino Dasko and David Ferencic (201-F-97) for the remainder of the season. Bulesic and Dasko both arrives from city-rival Stoja. Bulesic averaged 16.8 points in five Croatian A2 League West games this season and Dasko produced 16.6 points per game in 22 appearances this season. Ferencic arrives from Kastav, for whom he averaged 16.5 points in 21 Croatian A2 League West games this season.
Podravac inked experienced Tomislav Matoic (184-G-89) and Dean Krajinovic (76). Matoic arrives from the Petar Zrinski, for whom he averaged 13.9 points in 17 Croatian A2 League North games this season.
Graficar inked Mario Novak (185-G-85), who arrived from Medjimurje. Novak averaged 18.0 points in 18 Croatian A2 League North games this season.
  



Ribola Kastela will not extend contract of coach Ivica Celan - 4 hours ago
Newly promoted Ribola Kastela has mutually agreed not to activate the extension clause in contract of head coach Ivica Celan, citing personal reasons. Celan took over Ribola Kastela in January 2016 and failed to avoid relegation from the A1 League. Zaragoza tabs Lovro Mazalin, ex Zadar - 4 hours ago
Tecnyconta Zaragoza (Liga Endesa) inked 20-year old Croatian small forward Lovro Mazalin (204-97). He played most recently at KK Zadar in Croatian A1 league. In 24 games he averaged 9.3ppg, 5.5rpg, 2.3apg and 1.5spg last season. Mazalin helped them to make it to the semifinals. He also played 23 games in ABA League where he had 9.8ppg, 4.4rpg, 2.6apg and 1.2spg. The previous (15-16) season Mazalin played at Cedevita (also in A1). Zeljko Sakic (ex Cibona) signs at UBT Cluj Napoca - 6 hours ago
Defending champion U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca (Liga Nationala) landed 29-year old Croatian international forward Zeljko Sakic (204-98kg-88, agency: BeoBasket). He played most recently at Cibona in Croatian A1 league. Sakic managed to play in four leagues last year (!!!). In 32 A1 games he averaged impressive 15.4ppg, 6.8rpg (#5 in the league), 2.6apg and 1.0spg. Sakic helped them to make it to the final.
