Alkar earned their first road win of the season as they defeated Kvarner 2010 68-64 in the Croatian A1 League Round 20
.
Kvarner 2010-Alkar 64-68: Alkar opened the game with an 11-4 run. Kvarner used an 11-3 to take the lead for the first time in the game, 37-33 late in the second quarter. The vistiors scored seven straight points early in the second half to re-take the lead 42-39. Kvarner took their last advantage of the game at 47-46. Alkar respodned with a 7-2 run and led until the home team tie the game at 63-63 with 1:29 left. Hrvoje Vucic (212-C-91, college: Walsh) made made a basket that gave Alkar a lead. Ivan Kucan (192-G/F-96) made just one of his two free throws on the opposite side of the floor to halve the deficit. Alkar then lost the ball and Mauro Veljacic (183-PG-93) had two consecutive shots to put Kvarner up, but he missed both. Alkar grabbed the ball and Nikola Gaurina (197-F-83) was fouled with 15 seconds to go. He made the first free throw to make the scored 66-64 and missed the second one. Kvarner had a final possessoon and Hrvoje Vucic stole the ball, drew the foul and made both free throws with two seconds left. Hrvoje Vucic finished with 21 points, Nikola Gaurina 14 and Roko Dominovic (189-PG-96) 11. Kvarner was led by Andrej Stimac (204-F/C-79) with 18 points, Mauro Veljacic and Ivan Kucan both scored 13 points and Ivan Milicevic (204-F-95) 11.

Skrljevo-GKK Sibenik 60-74:
The largest lead of either team in the first half was a five-point (36-31) lead by Sibenik with a half-minute before the break. After leading 44-41 early in the third quarter, the vistiors scored 16 straight points to ignite a 20-2 run and took control of the game. Ive Ivanov scored 20 points and was a rebound shy of a double-double, Domagoj Basic (193-G-86) added 11 points, Roko Badzim (197-G-97) and Miralem Halilovic (205-F-91) both posted 10 points. Skrljevo was led by Brian Williams (187-G-92, college: Jacksonville St.) with 16 points, Antonio Boban (205-PF-93) 14, Nick Cook (198-F-92, college: Jacksonville St.) had 11 points and 10 rebounds, Sinisa Stemberger (196-G-79) added 10 points.

Zagreb-Cedevita 68-91: The game featured 13 lead changes until midway through the third quarter. Cedevita used a 12-0 run to build a 20-14 run. Zagreb re-take the lead at 34-33 and extended their advantage to 50-43 late in the second half. At that point, Cedevita scored 15 straight points to ignite a 19-2 run for a 62-52 lead and never looked back from there. Filip Kruslin (198-SG-89), Toni Katic (188-PG-92) and John Shurna (204-F-90, college: Northwestern) all scored 14 points for Cedevita, Ra'shad James (188-G-90, college: Kaiser) added 13, Ryan Boatright (183-PG-92, college: Connecticut) 10 and Karlo Zganec (206-C/F-95) grabbed 11 rebounds. Zagreb was led by Pavle Marcinkovic (199-G/F-89) with 20 points, Toni Vitali (203-F-91) scored 18 and Luka Bozic (199-PG-96) 14.

KK Cedevita Zagreb (A1) to sign 32-year old American power forward Chris Johnson (210-107kg-85, college: LSU) who plays at Anhui Wenyi in China. In 18 NBL games he had very impressive stats: 33.4ppg, 18.8rpg, 1.9apg, 1.8spg and 1.9bpg last season. Ribola Kastela added another piece to its backcourt ahead of its return to the Croatian Premijer League by signing a one-year deal with its former member Roko Galic(197-F-97). Galic arrives from the local rival Split, where he averaged 1.8 points, 0.2 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.3 steals in just 10 Croatian A1 League games last season. Zabok strenghetend its roster for the coming season by inking their former members Antonio Vlaic (205-C-91) and Ivan Vucic (197-F/G-96).
