Here is the weekly review of the top performing Croatian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former international forward Hrvoje Peric (203-85, currently plays in Italy). He was the major contributor in an Umana Venezia's victory against the 11th-ranked The Flexx PT (10-12) 78-71 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game. Peric recorded 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 28 minutes on the court. Umana Reyer Venezia (14-8) is placed second in the Serie A. It's Peric's fourth season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 11.5ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.8apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 51.5%, 3FGP: 17.1% and FT: 74.3% in 21 games he played so far. Peric played for the Croatian senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international power forward Dario Saric (207-94, currently plays in NBA). He led Philadelphia 76ers to a 2-point victory over the Los Angeles Lakers (20-47) 118-116 in the NBA last Sunday. Saric was MVP of the game. He scored 29 points (!!!), grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 5 assists. The Philadelphia 76ers have not so impressive 23-43 record this season. They ended the series of four consecutive loses. Saric has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 12.2ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.2apg, 2FGP: 46.3%, 3FGP: 32.1% and FT: 77.2%. Ex-KK Cibona VIP Zagreb player is in the roster of the Croatian senior national team.

   #3. The Croatian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international small forward Bojan Bogdanovic (203-89, currently plays in NBA). Bogdanovic led Washington Wizards to a victory over the Phoenix Suns (22-45) 131-127 in the NBA on Tuesday night. He was the best player in that game. Bogdanovic scored 29 points (!!!) and grabbed 9 rebounds (went 16 for 16 at the free throw line !!!) in 29 minutes. The Washington Wizards have a solid 41-25 record this season. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Bogdanovic has very impressive stats this year: 15.6ppg, 2.8rpg, 3FGP: 45.6%(26-57) and FT: 95.2%(40-42) in 11 games. Ex-KK Cibona VIP Zagreb player is also a member of the Croatian senior national team.

   #4. Center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency, currently plays in Spain) could not help FC Barcelona (15-7) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance FC Barcelona was edged 76-75 on the road by the second-ranked Real Madrid. Tomic was the second best scorer with 14 points. He also added 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists. Tomic is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fifth year in FC Barcelona's roster. This season Tomic has relatively solid stats: 13.2ppg, 7.3rpg and 2.2apg. He used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2015.

   #5. International center Ivica Zubac (216-97, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Los Angeles Lakers in their game against the Denver Nuggets (32-35) in the NBA, despite his very good performance last Monday. Zubac had a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 11 rebounds in 30 minutes. But the Los Angeles Lakers (20-47) were crushed 129-101 in Denver by the Nuggets. It's Zubac's first season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 6.9ppg and 4.0rpg in 30 games. Zubac plays currently for the Croatian national team.

   #6. Power forward Leon Radosevic (207-90, also represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Euroleague) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Anadolu Efes (13-12) 87-68 in the Euroleague on Friday night. He recorded 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Brose Baskets Bamberg (9-16) is placed 12th in the Euroleague. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Radosevic's total stats this season are: 6.1ppg and 2.6rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Croatian National Team roster.

   #7. International power forward Ante Zizic (210-97, another player represented by BeoBasket, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to secure a victory for Darussafaka (14-7) in their game against Fenerbahce (19-2) in the Turkish BSL, despite his good performance in Monday night's game. Zizic scored 12 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 30 minutes. But Darussafaka was edged 79-76 in a derby game by the leading Fenerbahce. Zizic has reliable stats this year: 11.4ppg and 5.0rpg in eight games. He is also Croatian national team player.

   #8. Forward Jure Skific (202-88, agency: 011 Sports, currently plays in Poland) couldn't help Twarde Pierniki (16-8) in their game against AZS Koszalin (8-16) in the Polish PLK. Despite his very good performance last Wednesday Skific recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 10 rebounds. Skific averaged so far 10.7ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.6apg. He used to play for the Croatian U18 national team back in 2006.

International point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-84, another player represented by XL Basketball Agency, currently plays in Greece) couldn't help AEK Athens (16-5) in their game against Olympiacos (18-0) in the Greek A1. Ukic scored 9 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 31 minutes. But AEK Athens lost 63-70 in a derby game to the leading Olympiacos. Ukic's stats this year are: 11.0ppg, 2.8rpg and 3.8apg in 21 games. He is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.

   #10. Point guard Rok Stipcevic (185-86, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Banco di Srd (12-10) in their game against Armani Milano (19-3) in the Italian Serie A. Despite his very good performance in Sunday night's game Stipcevic was the top scorer with 16 points. Stipcevic averaged so far 11.4ppg, 2.4rpg and 2.9apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Croatian National Team roster.

   #11. Former international point guard Marko Popovic (185-82, another player represented by Alti Sport, college: S.Idaho JC, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in their game against Valencia Basket in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Despite his very good performance on Saturday night He was the top scorer with 18 points. Popovic averaged so far 11.7ppg, 1.3rpg and 1.8apg. He used to play for the Croatian national team six years ago.

   #12. International center Darko Planinic (211-90, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked Sevilla 89-70 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. He scored 10 points. Planinic's total stats this season are: 7.8ppg and 2.3rpg. He is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.

   #13. Former U20 international power forward Drazen Bubnic (207-86, another player represented by XL Basketball Agency, currently plays in Slovenia) contributed to Un.Olimpija's victory against the seventh-ranked KK Primorska 87-81 in the Slovenian Liga Nova KBM on Wednesday night. Bubnic scored 16 points in 22 minutes. This year his total stats are: 4.8ppg, 2.2rpg and 1.3apg in 19 games. Bubnic used to play for the Croatian U20 national team eleven years ago.

   #14. International center Josip Sobin (203-89, another player represented by Alti Sport, currently plays in Poland) contributed to an easy victory against the 14th-ranked AZS Koszalin 78-62 in the Polish PLK in Monday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds. Sobin averaged so far 11.3ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.9apg. He plays currently for the Croatian national team.

   #15. Former U20 international center Domagoj Bubalo (212-91, currently plays in Estonia) couldn't help Parnu in their game against TLU/Kalev in the Estonian Alexela KML. Despite his very good performance on Friday night Bubalo recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 10 rebounds. This season Bubalo has very high stats. He averages: 16.3ppg, 8.4rpg and 1.6apg. Bubalo used to play for the Croatian U20 national team six years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Croatian passport but never been selected to any of Croatian national teams:

   #1. Experienced Matija Ceskovic (192-G-81, currently plays in Balkan League) led his FYR Macedonian team Feni Industries to a 3-point victory over the closely-ranked Teodo Tivat (3-3) 100-97 in the Balkan League last Tuesday. Ceskovic was the top player that evening. He recorded 39 points (!!!), 5 assists and 3 steals in 39 minutes. KK Feni Industries (2-4) is placed seventh in the Balkan League. Ceskovic averaged so far 13.2ppg and 2.1apg in 16 games he played so far.

   #2. Veljko Budimir (199-F-85, currently plays in Hungary) led PVSK Pannon to a victory over the league outsider MAFC (3-19) 84-69 in the Hungarian A Division in Wednesday night's game. Budimir was the top player that evening. He scored 27 points (!!!) and grabbed 5 rebounds in 31 minutes. PVSK Pannonpower Pecs (13-10) is placed seventh in the A Division. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Budimir has been at the team for four years. Budimir averaged so far 14.0ppg, 4.7rpg and 2.0apg in 23 games.

   #3. Pankracije Barac (196-G-81, agency: Court Side, currently plays in Switzerland) was the main contributor in Monthey's victory against the seventh-ranked Swiss Central (8-11) 100-94 in the Swiss LNA last Saturday. Barac was the top player that evening. He scored 25 points, had 7 boards, passed 4 assists and added 4 steals in 40 minutes. BBC Monthey (14-5) is placed second in the LNA. Barac's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Barac has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 20.0ppg, 5.0rpg, 5.0apg and 2.5spg in two games.

   #4. Marko Jagodic Kuridza (205-PF-87, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup). He could not help Oostende to beat Enisey. Jagodic Kuridza recorded 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The sixth-placed Oostende was defeated 84-72 on the road by the higher-ranked Enisey (#3) in the group Q of FIBA Europe Cup. Jagodic Kuridza has averaged so far 5.3ppg and 1.7rpg. He has a dual citizenship: Serbian and Croatian.

   #5. Igor Maric (196-F-85, currently plays in Slovakia) was not able to help Prievidza (24-11) in their last game on Monday. Despite Maric's good performance Prievidza was defeated 93-86 at home by the lower-ranked Lucenec (#7). He recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 12 rebounds. Maric also added and 3 steals. Maric averaged so far 13.8ppg, 5.9rpg, 2.0apg and 1.4spg.

   #6. Marijan Cakarun (204-C-90, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an La ICL Manresa's surprising victory against the fourth-ranked Baskonia 87-82 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. He scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Cakarun has averaged so far 7.3ppg and 4.1rpg.

   #7. Toni Bizaca (202-F-82, agency: XL Basketball Agency, currently plays in Sweden) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Malbas crushing them 103-73 in the Swedish Basketligan in Monday night's game. He was the top player that evening. Bizaca scored 22 points and added 3 assists. This season Bizaca has very high stats. He averages: 18.2ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.7apg.

   #8. Sasa Jankovic (204-F-84, currently plays in Slovakia) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Handlova crushing them 108-68 in the Slovakian SBL last Wednesday. Jankovic scored 16 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 27 minutes. Jankovic averaged so far 11.5ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.7apg in 36 games.

   #9. Matija Poscic (206-C-85, college: De Paul, currently plays in Hungary) faced previously mentioned Veljko Budimir in the Hungarian A Division last game. Poscic was not able to secure a victory for MAFC (6-11) in their last game. Despite his very good performance MAFC lost 69-84 in Pecs to the lower-ranked (#7) PVSK Pannon. Poscic had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 11 rebounds in 36 minutes. Poscic averaged so far 12.5ppg, 7.4rpg and 1.5apg in 20 games. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

   #10. Mladen Primorac (210-C-90, currently plays in Czech Republic) couldn't help USK Praha in their game against CEZ Nymburk in the Czech Republic NBL. He scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was defeated 81-71. Primorac has averaged so far 8.9ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.6apg.

Ivan Siriscevic (ex-GKK Sibenik) returns to Romania - 12 hours ago
Ivan Siriscevic(198-G/F-87) returned to Romania to play for SCM Universitatea Craiova in the coming 2017-18 season, the club announced. Siriscevic had previously played in Romania for BC Timisoara during the 2011-12 season, averaging 10.2 points and 3.3 rebounds in 38 Division A League games. Sirisevic arrives from GKK SIbenik, where he averaged 13.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.2 blocks in 29 Croatian A1 League games last season. Skrljevo has added depth to its backcourt, and invested in its future by signing promised Josip Barnjak (190-G/F-98). The club also announced that it has re-signed experienced Jasmin Perkovic(205-F-80). Barnjak arrives from Kvarner 2010, for whom he averaged 6.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.2 blocks in 25 Croatian A1 League games last season. Kolossos H Hotels (A1) agreed terms with 26-year old Croatian guard Toni Prostran (182-91). He played last season at Nevezis in Lithuanian LKL league. In 29 games he had 11.0ppg, 2.5rpg and 7.0apg (leader !!!). Quite impressive season as he was selected Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian LKL Bosman Player of the Year and named to Honorable Mention.
