We bring you last week's top performances from Croatians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is former U18 international center Andrea Maric (195-97, agency: PEPI SPORT, currently plays in Slovenia). She led Athlete Celje to a victory over the eighth-ranked Konjice (9-13) crushing them 108-54 in the Slovenian SKL in Monday night's game. Maric was MVP of the game. She had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 14 rebounds in 21 minutes on the court. ZKK Athlete Celje (18-1) is placed first in Places 1-6 group. It was her team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. Maric has relatively good stats this year: 10.7ppg, 7.9rpg, 1.2apg, 2FGP: 53.7% and FT: 81.0% in 26 games she played so far. She played for the Croatian U18 national team three years ago.

Second place goes to U20 international shooting guard Iva Slonjsak (183-97, currently plays in Slovenia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Andrea Maric and both played together in the last Slovenian SKL game. Slonjsak contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Konjice (9-13) crushing them 108-54. She recorded 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. This season Slonjsak has relatively solid stats: 14.9ppg, 5.5rpg, 3.1apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 61.7%(116-188), 3FGP: 43.9% and FT: 85.0%. She is in the roster of the Croatian U20 national team.

   #3. The Croatian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Shavonte Zellous (178-86, college: Pittsburgh, currently plays in Turkey). Zellous was the major contributor in Besiktas' victory against the closely-ranked Abdullah Gul (19-7) 65-62 in the Turkish KBSL on Monday night. She scored 15 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 38 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Besiktas CT Istanbul (22-5) is placed third in the KBSL. It was her team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Zellous' first season with the team. Zellous has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 17.3ppg, 5.7rpg, 3.6apg, 2FGP: 41.5%, 3FGP: 25.7% and FT: 83.6% in 28 games. Zellous is a naturalized American. She is also a member of the Croatian senior national team. Strangely Zellous has never played in Croatia.

   #4. Forward Mirna Mazic (188-85, agency: ProDep Management, college: Richmond, currently plays in Turkey) managed to help Abdullah Gul University Kayseri to win against the eighth-ranked Istanbul Uni (12-14) crushing them 81-48 in the Turkish KBSL in Wednesday night's game. She scored 5 points. Abdullah Gul University Kayseri (19-7) is placed fourth in the KBSL. Mazic's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Mazic's overall stats this season are: 6.6ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.3apg. She used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2015.

   #5. Former international center Josipa Bura (186-85, currently plays in Czech Republic). Bura could not help Sokol Hradec Kralove (17-5) to beat USK Praha (16-15). She recorded 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The sixth-placed Sokol Hradec Kralove (17-5) was crushed 95-52 on the road by the higher-ranked USK Praha (#4) in the Play-Offs group. Bura's overall stats this season are: 7.0ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.5apg and 1.4spg. She used to play for the Croatian national team eight years ago.

   #6. Center Marija Rezan (198-89, currently plays in Poland) contributed to a CCC Polkowice's victory against the closely-ranked Artego Bydgoszcz (13-9) 67-60 in the Polish TBLK in Thursday night's game. Rezan scored 6 points in only 11 minutes. CCC Polkowice (14-8) is placed fifth in the TBLK. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Rezan's overall stats are: 8.1ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.2bpg in 35 games. She is an international player who is currently on the senior Croatian National Team roster.

International shooting guard Ivana Dojkic (180-97, currently plays in Russia) helped Spartak Vidnoye win their game against the closely-ranked Dynamo NR (8-12) 76-65 in the Russian PBL last Monday. Dojkic scored 8 points and added 3 passes. Sparta&K Vidnoe Moscow Region (7-13) is placed eighth in the PBL. Dojkic's total stats this season are: 8.8ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.6apg and 1.9spg. She is also Croatian national team player.

Emilija Podrug

   #8. An experienced center Emilija Podrug (190-79, currently plays in France) was not able to help Toulouse in their game against Avenir (22-4) in the French LF2 (second division). Podrug recorded 7 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 37 minutes. The league leader Toulouse lost 58-63 in Chartres to the leading Avenir. Podrug has reliable stats this year: 10.6ppg, 5.8rpg and 3.6apg in 22 games. She used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2010.

   #9. International center Luca Ivankovic (201-87, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to secure a victory for Botas (10-16) in their game against Fenerbahce (21-5) in the Turkish KBSL. Ivankovic scored 6 points and added 3 passes. Botas was crushed 87-65 at home by the second-ranked Fenerbahce. The Regular Season already ended. Ivankovic's total stats this season are: 5.2ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.4apg. She is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.

Point guard Iva Cigic (174-94, currently plays in Italy) helped Ferrara win their game against the sixth-ranked Udine Delser (15-9) 56-47 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) last Saturday. Cigic recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 18 minutes. PFF Group Ferrara (18-6) is placed third in Group B. It was her team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Cigic's total stats are: 7.2ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2spg in 11 games. She is a former U18 international player as five years ago she still played for the Croatian national team.

   #11. Former international forward Davorka Balic (188-88, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Cortegada in their game against ASEFA Estudiantes in the Spanish LF2 (second division). Balic cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. She recorded only 3 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Her team was edged 60-57. Balic has averaged so far 6.1ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.1apg. She used to play for the Croatian national team three years ago.

   #12. International guard Lana Packovski (170-94, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Albino in their game against Sesto SG in the Italian Serie A2 (second division). She was the second best scorer with 8 points. Packovski also added 5 rebounds in 31 minutes. Her team was crushed by 22 points 66-44. Packovski's stats this year are: 13.1ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.9apg and 2.4spg in 26 games. She is also in the roster of the Croatian national team.

The list of other players, who all have Croatian passport but never been selected to any of Croatian national teams:

   #1. Dubravka Dacic (201-C-85, agency: ProDep Management, currently plays in Turkey) could not help Osmaniye (5-21) in their last game. Despite Dacic's good performance the bottom-ranked Osmaniye lost 78-89 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#6) Galatasaray. She had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 13 rebounds in 37 minutes. The Regular Season already ended. Dacic has reliable stats this year: 11.0ppg, 8.7rpg and 1.2spg in six games she played so far. She has a dual citizenship: Croatian and Italian.

   #2. Tea Charlton (188-C-96, currently plays in United Kingdom) was not able to help Nottingham Wildcats in their game against Suns (12-6) in the British WBBL. Charlton cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. She scored only 2 points in 6 minutes on the court. The league leader Nottingham Wildcats lost 54-64 in Sevenoaks to the lower-ranked (#3) Suns. It was Nottingham Wildcats' first loss after three consecutive victories. The Regular Season already ended. This year Charlton averages just 0.6ppg in 10 games. She is another player who holds two passports: Croatian and British.

   #3. Experienced Suzy Batkovic-Brown (195-C-80, currently plays in Australia) was not able to secure a victory for Hunters (2-3) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Batkovic-Brown's very good performance Hunters (#6) were defeated 67-63 in Hornsby by the leading Spireds in the WARATAH group. She recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 15 rebounds. Batkovic-Brown also added 3 assists and 2 blocks. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Batkovic-Brown has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 28.5ppg, 15.5rpg, 2.5apg and 1.5bpg. Batkovic-Brown has both Croatian and Australian nationalities.

Center Patricija Bura (188-C-96) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Medvescak, receiving a Player of the Week award for round 3. The 21-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds, while her team crushed Ragusa (#6, 1-1) with 17-point margin 76-59. Mihaela Lazic explodes for 41 points in Brod's loss to Pula - 7 days ago
Mihaela Lazic (168-G-00) scored 41 points including six 3-pointers but her Brod na Savi feelt short to Pula Crnja Tours by a score of 81-95 in Prva liga Round 3. Petra Simunic (93) led Podravac with 33 points to a 90-81 win over Sibenik Medvescak-Ragusa 76-59: After trailing by one early in the second quarter, Medvescak went on an 18-2 run for a 41-26 lead and opened the second half with a 15-0 run to extend their advantage to 58-31.
