Here is the weekly review of the top performing Croatian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Shavonte Zellous (178-86, college: Pittsburgh, currently plays in Turkey). She was the major contributor in Besiktas' victory against the closely-ranked Abdullah Gul (19-7) 65-62 in the Turkish KBSL in Monday night's game. Zellous scored 15 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 38 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Besiktas CT Istanbul (23-5) is placed second in the KBSL. It was her team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. It's Zellous' first season with the team. She has individually a very good year with high stats. Zellous averages: 17.1ppg, 5.6rpg, 3.6apg, 2FGP: 41.3%, 3FGP: 25.4% and FT: 82.8% in 30 games she played so far. She is a naturalized American. Zellous is currently a member of the Croatian senior national team. Strangely she has never played in Croatia.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international center Emilija Podrug (190-79, currently plays in France). Podrug led Toulouse to an easy victory against the league leader Avenir (22-4) crushing them 73-48 in the French LF2 (second division) last Wednesday. She scored 12 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 8 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Toulouse Metropole Basket (16-6) is placed first in the LF2. Podrug has relatively good stats this season: 10.3ppg, 5.8rpg, 3.7apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 50.8% and FT: 78.4%. She played for the Croatian national team in 2010.

   #3. The Croatian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center Iva Cuzic-Sliskovic (190-84, college: S.Carolina, currently plays in France). Cuzic-Sliskovic led Angers to an easy victory against the third-ranked Tarbes (4-2) 86-68 in the French LFB on Saturday night. She scored 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 24 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Play-Out. Angers - Union Feminine Basket 49 (1-5) is placed first in Play-Out group. They ended the series of nine consecutive loses. This year Cuzic-Sliskovic's overall stats are: 9.1ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.2apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 37.9% and FT: 83.8% in 18 games. She played for the Croatian national team two years ago.

   #4. Shooting guard Ivana Dojkic (180-97, currently plays in Russia). Dojkic could not help one of league's weakest teams Spartak Vidnoye (7-13) to beat Dynamo NR (8-12). She scored 9 points. But Spartak Vidnoye was defeated 67-60 on the road by the higher-ranked Dynamo NR (#7). Dojkic's total stats this season are: 8.8ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.5apg and 1.9spg. She is also Croatian national team player.

   #5. Former U18 international point guard Iva Cigic (174-94, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Udine Delser (15-9) 59-41 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) last Thursday. Cigic scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes. PFF Group Ferrara (18-6) is placed third in Group B. It was her team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Cigic's total stats are: 7.4ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3spg in 12 games. She used to play for the Croatian U18 national team five years ago.

   #6. Guard Lana Packovski (170-94, currently plays in Italy) was not able to help Albino in their game against Sesto SG (22-4) in the Italian Serie A2 (second division). Packovski was the top scorer with 8 points. She also added 5 rebounds. The eighth-placed Albino (12-14) was defeated 42-31 at home by the leading Sesto SG in the Group A. It was Albino's first loss after three consecutive victories. This season Packovski has relatively solid stats: 12.9ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.8apg and 2.3spg. She is an international player who is currently on the senior Croatian National Team roster.

Zadar outrebounded Brod 67-34, including 28-2 on the offensive boards and beat the home team 59-51 in Prva liga Round 4. Sibenik-Pula Crnja Tours 70-78: After leading by three points midway through the second quarter, Pula used a 12-2 run to extend their advantage to 44-31. Center Patricija Bura (188-C-96) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Medvescak, receiving a Player of the Week award for round 3. The 21-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds, while her team crushed Ragusa (#6, 1-1) with 17-point margin 76-59.
