Zadar overcame a 17-point halftime deficit to beat Pula on road 81-75 in the opening round of the Croatian Prva liga 2017-18 season. Lucija Kostic (187-F-00) was one rebound away from a triple-double with 10 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds over 27 minutes for Tresnjevka 2009 in a 113-52 win over Brod na Savi

Pula Crnja Tours-Zadar 75-81: After trailing 12-16, Pula went on a 15-2 run spanning the first and second quarters to go up 27-20 and later scored 15 consecutive points to close up the first quarter with a 49-32 lead, their largest lead of the contest. Zadar used a 10-0 run to tie the game at 61-61 early in the fourth quarter and finished the game with an 11-2 run to grab the win. Ana Vrsaljko (188-F/C-84) and Nina Dedic (187-C-96) both scored 22 points for Zadar and Andjela Ostric (176-F/G-01) added 16 points. Pula was led by Maja Ramljak (185-C-88) with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Anja Perko (170-PG-00) and Lea Hajdin (181-F-98) scored 12 points apiece, Ivana Dukic (172-G-92) and Tea Dikic (170-G-85) both finished with 10 points.

Medvescak-Sibenik 88-68: Iva Borovic (170-G-88) and Patricija Bura (188-C-96) combined for dozen points as Medvescak opened the game with a 14-2 and to take the control of the game. The home team led as many as 26 points, 39-13, midway through the second quarter. Patricija Bura finished with 15 points, Matea Tadic (167-PG-99) scored 14, Iva Todoric (174-F-93) had 13 points and 14 rebounds off the bench, Iva Borovic posted 13 points and Ana Vojtulek (187-C-99) collected 10 points and 10 rebounds. Medvescak outrebounded Sibenik 60-35, picking up 28 offensive rebounds. Sara Boric (196-C-96, college: N.Carolina St.) scored 19 points for Sibenik, Kristina Ivancevic (183-PF-99) came off the bench for 15 points, Sanda Tosic (176-G/F-86) added 14 and Klaudija Perisa (180-SG-96) 10.

Tresnjevka 2009-Brod na Savi 113-52: After tying the game at 2-2, Tresnjevka went on a 13-2 run and later scored 15 straight points for a 35-10 lead midway through the second quarter. Tresnjevka led 51-20 at the halftime break and scored 40 points in the third quarter. Karla Erjavec (172-G-99) scored 26 points on shooting 12-of-19 from the field, Marta Savic (185-C-01) came off the bench for 18 points, Josipa Pavic (187-C-99) had 16 points and 11 rebounds, Andjela Katavic (177-SG-99) added 10 points and Lucija Kostic just missed a triple-double with 10 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds. Tresnjevka's bench players outscored Brod reserves 47-6. Ella Djukic (185-PG-93) led Brod with 21 points and Monika Vojvodic (170-F-00) scored 13.

Plamen Pozega-Split 63-80: Split trailed just at 0-1 and 2-4 and took control of the game behind a 10-1 run for a 20-10 lead late in the opening quarter. Pozega cut the deficit to one, 31-32, but Split responded with a 13-2 run spanning halftime to go up 45-33 and their lead never dropped below eight points for the rest of the game. Anamaria Skaro (180-F-94) scored 18 points, Josipa Silov (171-PG-98) 15, Ana Mise (175-G/F-00) 12, Katarina Puljic (171-G-92) 11 and Maja Puljic (170-G-93) collected 10 points and 11 rebounds. Split outrebounded Pozega 46-26. Kristina Soldo (177-G-88) led the home team with game-high 24 points and Ivona Pejkovska (175-PG-95) added 13 points.

Podravac Gigant-Dubrava BLC 107-40: Podravac opened the game with a 13-0 run, then went on a 17-0 run in the second quarter and made a 19-0 run in the fourth quarter. Podravac had all 12 players score and grab at least two rebounds. Petra Simunic finished with 16 points, Valentina Simunic (175-G-98) scored 14, Viktorija Curic (185-C-01) 12, Marta Hrastic and Petra Mihalic both added 11 points. Dubrava shot better behind the 3-point line (27-percent, 8-of-24) than from 2-point land (17-percent, 6-of-34). Stela Galusic scored 15 points and Barbara Peric (165-PG-87) 10.
