We bring you last week's top performances from Croatians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Marija Rezan (198-89, currently plays in Czech Republic). She led USK Praha to an easy victory against the league outsider U19 Chance (0-3) crushing them 125-44 in the Czech Republic ZBL in Sunday night's game. Rezan had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 12 rebounds. She also added 4 assists in 24 minutes on the court. ZVVZ USK Praha (3-0) is placed third in the ZBL. So far her team won all three games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Rezan has relatively good stats this year: 12.7ppg, 8.7rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 61.5%(16-26) in three games she played so far. She played for the Croatian senior national team one years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Iva Brkic (167-85, agency: ProDep Management, currently plays in Spain). Brkic led Gipuzkoa UPV to a victory against the closely-ranked AE Sedis (0-1) 72-68 in the Spanish LFB last Sunday. She recorded 13 points and added 3 assists. It was her first game for Gipuzkoa UPV this season. Her team is placed fifth in the LFB. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Former Lupa Promotion Novi Zagreb starter played for the Croatian national team in 2016.

Antonija Sandric

   #3. The Croatian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Antonija Sandric (181-88, agency: 1x1 Sports, currently plays in Euroleague). Sandric was the major contributor in a CCC Polkowice's victory against the closely-ranked Piestanske Cajky (0-2) 76-60 in the Euroleague on Friday night. She scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 29 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. CCC Polkowice (2-0) is placed first in the Euroleague. The Qualifying Round already ended in the Euroleague. It's Sandric's first season with the team. This year Sandric averages: 9.5ppg, 6.0rpg, 2FGP: 33.3%, 3FGP: 55.6% in two games. She played for the Croatian national team one years ago.

Carmen Miloglav

   #4. Guard Carmen Miloglav (170-91, also represented by ProDep Management, college: FIU, currently plays in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Goettingen (1-2) crushing them 83-56 in the German DBBL in Tuesday night's game. Miloglav scored 7 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Gruener Stern Keltern (3-0) is placed second in the DBBL. So far her team won all three games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Miloglav's overall stats this season are: 6.0ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.7apg. She used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2015.

   #5. Former U18 international forward Andrijana Cvitkovic (190-94, agency: Interperformances, college: Dayton, currently plays in Hungary) could not help MTK (0-1) in their last game. Despite Cvitkovic's good performance MTK was crushed 93-53 on the road by the second-ranked Atomeromu. She was the top scorer with 13 points. Cvitkovic also added 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 27 minutes. It was her first game for MTK this season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Cvitkovic used to play for the Croatian U18 national team five years ago.

   #6. Forward Ana-Marija Begic (190-94, currently plays in EEWBL) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Canik Belediye (1-2) 68-53 in the EEWBL on Friday night. She recorded 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Udominate Basket Umea (2-1) is placed sixth in the EEWBL. The Regular Season already ended in the EEWBL. Begic's overall stats this season are: 5.7ppg and 4.7rpg. She is international player as she played for the Croatian senior team one years ago.

   #7. International guard Tea Buzov (176-90, currently plays in Czech Republic) managed to help Basket Zabiny Brno in a victory against the closely-ranked Basket Slovanka MB (1-2) crushing them 65-43 in the Czech Republic ZBL in Wednesday night's game. Buzov scored only 4 points in 14 minutes. Basket Zabiny Brno (2-1) is placed fourth in the ZBL. This year Buzov's overall stats are: 7.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg in two games. She used to play for the Croatian national team last year.

   #8. Forward Davorka Balic (188-88, currently plays in Spain) contributed to Cortegada's victory against the 13th-ranked Rioja (0-1) 76-72 in the Spanish LF2 (second division) last Sunday. Balic recorded 5 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. It was her first game for Cortegada this season. Her team is placed third in Group A. Balic used to play for the Croatian national team back in 2014.

   #9. U20 international center Lorena Molnar (194-98, agency: Lebedintsev Andriy, currently plays in Czech Republic) faced previously mentioned Tea Buzov in the Czech Republic ZBL last game. Molnar was not able to help Basket Slovanka MB in their game against Zabiny Brno (2-1). She cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. Molnar scored only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 17 minutes. Basket Slovanka MB was crushed 65-43 in Brno by the higher-ranked (#4) Zabiny. This year Molnar's total stats are: 3.0ppg and 3.0rpg in three games. She is also in the roster of the Croatian U20 national team.

   #10. Small forward Anja Majstorovic (184-94, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Zamarat (0-1) in their game against Araski (1-0) in the Spanish LFB. Majstorovic cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. She recorded only 2 points. It was her first game for Zamarat this season. The bottom-ranked Zamarat was defeated 63-54 in Vitoria-Gasteiz by the second-ranked Araski. Majstorovic is a former U18 international player as five years ago she still played for the Croatian national team.

   #11. Former U18 international center Jovana Mandic (193-92, another player represented by ProDep Management, college: Nicholls St., currently plays in Germany) couldn't help ChemCats Chemnitz in their game against BC Pharmaserv Marburg in the German DBBL. She scored 6 points in 18 minutes. Her team was badly defeated by 20 points 72-52. Mandic has averaged so far 7.0ppg and 4.0rpg in two games. She used to play for the Croatian U18 national team seven years ago.

   #12. International guard Lana Packovski (170-94, currently plays in Poland) couldn't help JAS FBG in their game against TS Ostrovia in the Polish BLK. Packovski cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. She scored only 2 points. Her team was defeated 86-81. Packovski has averaged so far 1.0ppg and 1.5apg. She used to play for the Croatian national team last year.


One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Croatian passport:

   #1. Experienced Iva Bosnjak (174-G/F-1, currently plays in Switzerland) managed to help BC Winterthur in a victory against one of league's weakest teams Riva (0-1) 79-68 in the Swiss SBL in Saturday night's game. Bosnjak recorded only 2 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 14 minutes. It was her first game for Winterthur this season. Her team is located at the very bottom in the SBL.

Talented Katarina Trehub (191-C-97) had a great game in the last round for Pula C.Tours and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4. The 20-year old center had a double-double of 21 points and seventeen rebounds, while her team beat Sibenik (#11, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 78-70. Tresnjevka 2009 and Medvescak both remained unbeaten in the Croatian Prva liga with wins in Sunday's games of Round 4. Ragusa-Tresnjevka 2009 49-73: Tresnjevka, who never trailed, took their first double digit lead of the game at 17-7. The visiting team went on a 15-5 run early in the second quarter to extend their advantage to 36-21 and later made a 14-0 run spanning halftime to make it 52-26. Zadar outrebounded Brod 67-34, including 28-2 on the offensive boards and beat the home team 59-51 in Prva liga Round 4. Sibenik-Pula Crnja Tours 70-78: After leading by three points midway through the second quarter, Pula used a 12-2 run to extend their advantage to 44-31. Sibenik tied the score at 50-50 and later went on a 12-1 run to go up 62-57 going into the fourth quarter.
