AEL afer thrashing Keravnos in the Cup's final 64-41 won the Cyprus Cup for a fourth time in the series and has now 11 cups more than any other team in Cyprus followed by Keravnos's seven cups.
The game was a derby only for 12 minutes as after that the Limassol team speed up and with Kalia Papadopoulou (166-G-80) and the newcomer Monika Gavriloska (190-F/C-76) who was the MVP of the finals with her double-double figures and her total domination over Keravnos's big girls, Biljana Pavicevic (191-F-80) and Michaela Vezenkova (191-F-84, college: NC-Wilmington) over scored the Strovolos team and by the end of the first half the 33-21 was the first 'knock' against Keravnos.
The third period begun with Keravnos trying to succeed something from the game but the ex player of Keravnos Kalia Kalia Papadopoulou who is still today at her 30's is the top local player in teh country, with her great leadership skills and also her great organisational abilities (she ended the game with 10 assists) never let the Strovolos team to do its game so the 10-12 in the specific period and the overall 43-33 at the end of the period actually cut all the dreams of STrovolos girls as in the best game of Keravnos the deficit was only one basket for Keravnos, who saw her newcomer Biljana Pavicevic, the great Serbian hope to ending the game with the poor 3/12 shots and only 25% while the talented Pitsilidou ended the game in an absolute zero as she finished with 0/7 and a total of 1/2 points from the charity line.
Furthermore, the other Serbian player of Keravnos with a 3/14 shots was even worst than Biljana Pavicevic as her 21% was even worst then the 25% of her team-mate.

The 4th period came the total collapse for the Strovolos team as AEL continue the offensice crescent and with Kalia Papadopoulou scoring her 7 points and 4 assists in the period and Asimina Koutsounouri (190-C) with Monika Gavriloska dominating in the rebounding area the diference reached its maximum by the end of the quarter as Keravnos scored in ten minutes 8 points while the defense of the Strovolos team was like a swiss cheese as had wholes all over and the 21 points is shpowing this fact.

Top scorers:
AEL: Monika Gavriloska 16 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 2 block shots, Kalia Papadopoulou 16 points, 10 assists, 4 steals and 3 rebounds, Asimina Koutsounouri 12 points and 4 rebounds, Tiana Raca (177-G-97) 7 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal in 15 minutes!!
Keravnos: Michaela Vezenkova 18 points, 10 rebounds and 3 block shots
