Hungary clinched the second victory in 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round. They knocked down Cyprus at home court to climb at 2-2 record in Group C. Peter Lorant (206-PF-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) delivered 25 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge. Cyprus suffered the fourth straight loss.
The teams stayed close throughout the opening quarter. Hungary and Cyprus were tied at 21 after ten minutes. The hosts however stiffened their defence in the second quarter. They limited Cyprus at 9 points in the period and ensured a 9-point lead at halftime 39:30. Hungary also improved offensively in the second half. They erupted for 26 points in the third quarter to gain a 15-point lead before the fourth quarter. Cyprus narrowed the gap in the fourth term but had little chance to save the encounter. Adam Hanga (200-SG-89, agency: Peter Lorant%20Andras&AgencyNm=TSS Management">TSS Management) finished with 22 points, while Miklos Szabo (205-F/C-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group, college: Hofstra) added 7 points for the winners. Panagiotis Trisokkas (206-PF-80) accounted for 20 points and 9 rebounds for Cyprus. Anthony King (206-F/C-85, agency: Interperformances, college: Miami, FL) netted 17 points and pulled down 9 caroms in the loss.

27-year old forward Jake O'Brien (206-F-89, agency: HMS) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Keravnos and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11. He had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Etha (#6, 2-9) with 25-point margin 92-67. It allowed Keravnos to consolidate first place in the Cypriot league. An interesting game for Apoel (6-5) which hosted in Nicosia 4th placed Enosis (4-7). Third ranked Apoel managed to get a 5-point victory 78-73. Enosis was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game.
