Keravnos Strovolou - Papa Johns Pizza Omonoia 65-52

The sixth straight win was succeeded on Saturday night, for Keravnos Strovolou team, this time his victim was Papa John's Omonoia with 65-52.The game was a derby at the beginning when the three Americans of Omonoia were scoring from all over. That was the fourth straight loss for the team of Coach Tsaggaridis which begun the competition full of promises but all of a sudden the team collapsed after the first three weeks of the league.

Omonoias player begun the game more offensively and with an early 0-7 took the lead but after the first minutes, Keravnos with more solid game and teamwork over-scored their opponents and 4 minutes after the score became 17-10.
In the second period, Keravnos with great game from behind the arc and Bobby Maze (191-PG-86, college: Tennessee) in a great mood ended the first half with 37-24 as the deficit was cut by Allen of Omonoia who scored 6 personal points.
The third period was the best for Keravnos who increased the difference up to 16 points but then all of a sudden the Strovolos players switched off their engine and Omonoia with Allen in an extra terrestrial session succeeded an unbelievable comeback with a 0-14 to cut the deficit to the single point 44-43 to end the third amazing period with 49-45 after a three pointer by Bobby Maze.

In the 4th and final period the maturity of Keravnos and the performance of the Cyprus International guard Pilavas who took over and with personal points and solid organizing game with a number of assists and good leadership skills in the first three minutes reshaped the score to 56-45, with a fast 9-0. Somewhere there, the two teams forgot how to score the ball in the net so for nearly 5 minutes the two teams were not able to score the slightest basket 3810 before the end the score became 61-47 to finally end the game with 65-52

Petrolina AEK Larnakas -Ydra Asfalistiki ENAD 68-55
After three straight losses the team of AEK Larnakas retrun to the positive results after beating the team of Ydra Asfalistiki ENAD with 68-55 with the newcomer Kohadarevic doing his debute in the Cyprus league.

AEK was much better in all the edges of the court and with great second period increased the deficit to double digits where it kept it until the end.
The leading figures for the home team was the usual suspect and top performer last season for the Larnaka's team Subotic who ended the game with 19 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.

American-Somalian Forward Mohamed Abukar (208-F-85, agency: Two Points) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Keravnos, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12. The 31-year old player was the main contributor (25 points, six rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush AEK (#2, 8-4) with 20-point margin 91-71. Very significant was Keravnos' (#1, 11-1) victory against second-best AEK (8-4) 91-71. The game was mostly controlled by Keravnos. AEK managed to win third quarter 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists.
